I was wondering if the riddle was too vaugue... ...so I actually updated my signature before posting it as an added hint... "The Man in Black fled across the desert, and the Gunslinger followed..." ...is the 1st line in "The Dark Tower" series...my faviorite! May I ask what led you towards soving it? 0 plainglazed Posted July 23, 2010 Report Share Posted July 23, 2010 Cool, didnt notice the signature change tho. was thinking of famous Kings that might have some kind of symbolic artistry something like this: Martin Luther King, Lebron James, Elvis, Stephen King; oh maybe the fountain refers to pen; oh the spilled blood definitely works; volumes long and short also makes perfect sense, must be him; and he's from Maine, maybe Portland *quickie wiki*, confirmed; what about the last line, read Running Man half my life ago so came up with the Richard Bachman stretch... So now that this one has been solved....it's back to the lab again. I must say I disagree with you. Even if no one here can solve a riddle, doesn't mean it's unsolvable. Some riddles sit in the forum for months until someone has an insight and solves them. And even if you do make a riddle that is too hard or too vague, so what?
