Load the rocks, most black --kinda a play on words: load --> lode/ rock --> stone. put 'em together and you get lodestone, another word for magnet

Never know identity...--kinda hard to tell they're magnets

until the twin is met --north-north or south-south repel each other and you know it's a magnet

or the rival revealed --north-south attracts so you know it's a magnet
