0 Guest
My Answer: An Umbrella Because the mother had been cleaning, the dog was put outside, and because it was during the spring, I am going to guess that it was raining. The dog found an umbrella (one of the automatic ones that opens with just a push of a button) outside. When the dog first approached it, it sprang open and scared it. But the second time the dog realized that it could stay dry underneath it.

0 Molly Mae
Could the tube be some kind of leaking aerosol? Something that the dog could be exposed to and be scared, but get high/euphoric enough to come back and enjoy it later.

0 Guest
someone's arm in a sleeve? that's it! explanation (only part of the puzzle matters. if these were the only lines posted, it would probably have been to easy...): kids at school or on the bus...don't know---didn't know they were already home sees a black tube laying in a doorway around the corner---one of the kids waiting for the dog, their hand tucked into their sleeve it inches close to investigate something springs out from the tube---kid throws their hand out the dog runs, tail ducked, hair bristled---scared it half to death but now the tail comes back out from under it starts to sway back and forth...why so?---happy! good job Dr!
