Guest
Although disimilar adjacent characters exist words with doubles appear to still be excluded so... Excluding simple doubled letters, the words must contain two adjacent consonants and two adjacent vowels. My guess is that 'doubles' is the only word allowed through? I have a feeling that this rule is not quite specific enough, but am I on the right track ? Edited April 1, 2011 by WombatBreath

Unfortunately, 'doubles' does not make it through. EDIT: Hmm. This editor doesn't like me. Is there a way to post in columns? Thalia
to achieve column layout using the code(<>) tags menu option is all i know but there may be other possibilities I don't know what that means. Achieve will pass.
Guest
I don't know what that means. Achieve will pass. The editor has an icon (<>) on the button bar which gives you a monospaced font so that you can format text in columns.

Guest
I've struggled for something more explicit, complicated or precise but all I can come up with for these accepted words (although, please, rainbow, underneath, achieve) is: Words must contain a pair of different, traditional, vowels (a,e,i,o,u) AND at least 6 characters long AND an A anywhere in the word (I can't explain why 'appear' is rejected)

Other than the vowel pair part, my rule does not have anything to do with numbers. No math or foreign languages this time. You might try reading some of Perry's posts. Guest
OK. I've tried to come up with a slightly different type of rule to what we've had in this thread before - hopefully it wont be too 'left field'. Lets pretend WombatBreath has proposed these words for acceptance thro the GGDs. Below is the outcome... Guest
I have no idea what this one is, but I've loved this game from early on, so I'll give a few words. Cups, people, insects, stars, apples, gymnasts, paper, pencil. Can I get the next game or do I have to guess this one?
Guest
Welcome Q-Cumber! The way that most of these games work is that normally the winner becomes quiz master for the next round but its all pretty free and easy. For most of the games section, it's worth ready the first post in the thread so that you can see what the rules or point of the game are. Look out tho' because sometimes rules evolve, especially if the game has been going on for a long time. ACCEPTANCES by POSTER | WombatBreath | MissKitten | | ~~~~~~~~ | ~~~~~~~~ | | trash | miss | | rubbish | kitten | | drawbridge | extremely | | battlements | | Sorry Q-cumber, none of your words are accepted thro the GGDs.
