Question

I just discovered this site, and wanted to add a riddle of my own as a simple homage to Plainglazed's couplet riddles. I doubt this will take long to figure out, but I hope some of you will find it entertaining. Have fun.

Before grilling or broiling or the coals I will be

But alone now you'll find me in the Arctic sea

To much of the world I am their Mr. T

But don't call me mister; spicy I be

Taken in pieces I'm known by such courtly names

Through ages I've challenged all with my games

Your job is to learn, it is mine to do this

No need for more study, for the first cannot miss

A lost key may sound hard but only once it's restored

to what's left of the others, in faith your reward

#5 requires key along with what's left of the other clue answers when the key is "lost" - easier said than done.

2 - chai

4 - teach

5 - chord

Yes on #2 AND #4. Great job DD! close to the right idea on #5, but not quite. Spoiler has hint, but don't think you'll need it after re-reading final clue and giving it more thought.
