Nope, all of your answers are making the same incorrect assumption. Remember, all of these have two parts a cryptic part and a more straight forward clue (often simply a synonym of the answer). You will get this one eventually.

Although the answers have the theme "superheroes", the clues are not necessarily superhero references. In this case the clue has nothing to do with Batman. Cryptic clues have two parts, a cipher part that is an obscured version of the answer using wordplay, anagrams , etc. and a clue part that is a more literal type of clue. Edited for grammar. -HM
