He is not entirely cleared SD... What if the Changeling learned his action in case he died? That would leave them with... what? a spy, a follow and I don't remember the other action. But it's not that hard to believe that a baddie would do that. Especially with some of the players we have in this game. So, I would suggest not counting Segul out entirely for now. At least not until there is more proof of his goodiness.

We are all hiding something. That's what this is. ESPECIALLY with that RID kill there. For all any of us know, any one of us could be on that list... That's why I love RID roles! LOL By the way... Nice sig!

Eh, well, it's Day 1 and I only have 1 vote on me. I don't think 1 vote warrants a defense as I don't want to give away anything. RID kills and all... If some others wanna throw some votes on me to force me to say something more, go for it, but it's gonna be a waste of your time.

HAHAHAHA!!! Yeah, that's kind of the object of this, so... Of course, like maurice said, nothing is going to be revealed until the post is up.
  9. Hirkala

I agree with Calcutta. We need to move and we need to move fast.
  10. Hirkala

Wait. Your rations are gone? Are you sure that you had them after the other 3 left?
  11. Hirkala

Wow, lots of new players! (Or people I've never played with before.) Good to see new faces either way, though! Welcome and good luck, you guys!!!

I have already said that I will continue on. Although, it does not seem that Mandrake is listening to anyone but himself. Which I find quite disturbing. He is a dangerous liability to himself, the rest of us and the expedition in general. There is something else driving him and it worries me. OOC: UR, is there going to be anything about Scout revealing his face?
  13. Hirkala

First of all, Mandrake, Gregor and I have made our peace. At least I have no ill will toward him. And what have I done to you to warrant this kind of behavior toward me? Nischal is correct. Release Gregor immediately. What gives you the right to bind a man and make decisions for this group when our lives may be at risk? You have become a liability to this expedition and your outrageous behavior has proven that you have no right to attempt to lead. I have a request to make of Scout, however. I would ask that he remove his mask and show his face. I am very curious about him. I am not demanding that this happen, Scout, I am simply asking for this one small measure of trust to be shown to the people you are leading through such dangerous terrain. And it may possibly clear some things up for some people, myself being one of them.
  14. Hirkala

I will go on as well.
  15. Hirkala

Gregor, I do understand your outburst and forgive you for it. I assumed that it was due to the lichen. I did not kidnap yourself or Vick and was one of the few that was most interested in finding you. Why do you suspect me in this? Have a shown any suspicion? Have I come after you? I am a peaceful man and do not wish to hurt or kill anyone! Yes, even Brother Mandrake! Haha, I jest! But, please explain to me why you think that I would attempt to hurt you in any way. I did not take any food, either. I do not need food. My body has been trained to go without. I must say that we are still ignoring one massive issue among us. Brontson was murdered. One of us has blood on his hands! How can we continue to ignore this?
  16. Hirkala

Gregor you fool! What is wrong with you? Have you been eating those mushrooms or the hallucinogenic lichen? Or are you simply mad?
  17. Hirkala

So, was it a beast or was it not? And if it was not, then what was it? Man? Demon? Animal? Spirit? So, there is a cave somewhere where you were being held? And now Vick is there. Can you find your way back to this cave?
  18. Hirkala

Gregor! Where did you come from? Have you been eating lichen? It may be a hallucinogen. Yeti? Ha! I do not understand a thing you have just said, Gregor. And again, no one has listened to Scout. These foolish men have left the rest of us and made their way up alone. What are they to do if they are trapped as Scout was? What if they find an obstacle they can not overcome? Well, as much as they annoy me with their stubbornness, I can not allow any man to die unnecessarily. I will go up the mountain and find them. Any who wish to join me are welcome. I believe several have said as much already. We need to move quickly before Mandrake and Kirkpatrick get too far ahead.
  19. Hirkala

I believe I am being misunderstood. I do not need sustenance. I am impervious to the weather. My interest is in the rest of you. I am able to make this trip a thousand times. You, however, can not. Believe it or not, I am being altruistic in my desire to return to the base of the mountain. And I was not upset earlier. Please do not mistake a passionate response as me being upset. The two are not the same. Although, I do see how it may have been misinterpreted as anger. And I apologize to those who may have been offended.

While I may not agree with everything our local guide believes, he is correct in a lot of what he says. This expedition can not survive without the people within it. And the way we are handling things right now, we won't last the night. At each other's throats, many suffering from frostbite, our rations are incredibly low and we can not fathom what may be ahead of us. You want a honest assessment, Mandrake? Here it is. This mission won't fail... Because it already has. We do not have the supplies to keep going. We have several individuals here who are completely useless to this expedition and YOU seem to be one of them. What have you done this entire trek? Coaxed us into continuing on regardless of the facts. Scout has said that he does not see us able to continue, Nischal, the local guide, has said that he does not see us able to continue and I, world renowned explorer, have said that I do not see us able to continue. The doctor may agree with us as well. After all, there is only so much he can do. After a certain point, nature will overtake his knowledge and kill regardless of the aid he can provide. So then, Brother Mandrake, what evidence can you show three men who are either familiar with the area or are well versed at this type of lifestyle that this mission will succeed? Has the good Mr Klein found anything to aid us with his flora and fauna? Has the Vice Admiral seen something that would point to the success of this mission? Has the wealthy Mr Kirkpatrick spent his fortune to bring us the necessary supplies to continue? Has Vick Brontson shown any leadership to rally us together to overcome these odds? Have YOU done ANYTHING worthwhile on this trip? You told me you were here to provide spiritual aid and comfort to Mr Brontson. Well, sadly, Mr Brontson is no longer with us. Who now do you provide spiritual assistance to? And are you not supposed to be the expert on "rationing?" Well, we are having a bit of trouble with this. We have more mouths than food and instead of being decisive and discovering a way, you throw baseless accusations and mindless blessings at us. I find it troubling that you were once a prisoner that is now a peace activist and have said nothing to Mr Kirkpatrick about his business. He made his fortune off of the Great War. Where is your indignation and lack of trust for him? My "eagerness during these times" confounds you? Why? Because I am concerned for my fellow man? Because I have seen one man die on this voyage and do not wish to see more? Because I am being rational and level-headed and HONEST about our chances on this trek? Fine. Let it confound you. I believe I have said enough. In fact, I think that is more than I have ever said at one time in my entire life. But. Gregor needs to be found. I would suggest that this expedition end. Those who are not essential to the finding of Gregor should make their way back down the mountain. Scout, Nischal, Dr Fabricius and myself can search for Gregor and join you at the bottom. It is pointless to continue. Doing so would only cost more good men their lives. And THAT, dear Mandrake is something I am NOT eager to see happen.
  21. Hirkala

Ah, welcome back, my friends! How went your search? Have our friends been found? And what of the way ahead of us?
  22. Hirkala

I would agree. The way things look at this time, it seems as if we aren't going anywhere. If the search group goes to look for Scout and Gregor, the rest may stay here to watch over the camp and work toward deciding what's to be done if our friends can not be found. I propose two groups, the first being the search group containing the Vice Admiral, Mr Brontson, Mr Klein and Brother Mandrake. The Camp group would consist of the doctor, Mr Kirkpatrick and Nischal. I am willing and able to accompany either group. And if anyone would have a better suggestion as to how the groups may be divided, I am willing to listen.
  23. Hirkala

Are we creating two separate search parties? One for Gregor and one for Scout? Or are we merely sending one out and attempting to find them both?
  24. Hirkala

I am not accusing here, but I would like to mention that the food issue may come second to the fact that Gregor is missing and Scout has not yet returned. Yes, our food rations are low, but we are also blind without Scout. What if we are to approach an obstacle of the nature that we ran into yesternight? Do any of us possess the foresight to realize its danger before we walk into its clutches? Also we may need to think that the murderer of Brontson may still be here. Is this the fate of Gregor, to be murdered alongside our leader, his body left to freeze in the icy winds? Or if he may be alive, we need find him. For, as Calcutta may be able to tell, to be left alone in the frigid mountain snow may be a fate worse than death. Before we move on, we must decide what is to be done about our friends, our food, our ability to move forward and the ever-present threat that still lingers.
  25. Hirkala

Nay, Brother Mandrake, I have not proposed sending the entire team up the stairway. I have simply mentioned that it may not be wise to send an explorer such as myself to an unknown place that may result in the loss of my skills. I have proposed sending one who has not provided our expedition with a suitable skill set. The mission is the important thing here. It must come first and foremost. Hence my insistence that we discover the murderer in our midst. Anything that could derail our ascent should be avoided at all costs.
