Okay then. DISGUISE - Rat Meeting in Poe Park You are dressed in a gray-white hoodie and jeans. You have earphones that are connected your "iPod," which is actually a device to listen to what the others are saying. There are seven men gather around a bench. They're directly under the monumental statue of E. A. Poe. You hear them talking from bugging the statue. Man #1: So where next? We finally threw off the detective. Man #2: Oh, we threw him off, all right. He's dead now. Man #3: I'm still not convinced. He doesn't look like the one that took down the Phoenix. He just kinda whimpered. I imagined him to put up a fight. Man #4: And you're questioning this? Be happy we got him. Man #5: (raspy, lispy voice) Indeed. You did well in eliminating the one obssstacle in our way. Now we must ssstrike the next sspot. Man #6: Where to? Man #3: Yeah, there's only so much we can do at this point! Security's gone haywire... Nick: I can take care of that. You flinch. You realize he's the 7th man. Man #5: And what do you plan to do, rookie? You didn't have the gutsss to kill the detective. Nick: He was surrounded by the law. There was nothing I could do. Man #2: Sure. But point is he's gone now. Let's just forget about him, okay? Man #3: I'm sure he's still alive. C'mon, Mikey, you gotta admit it's a little weird. Man #2 (Mikey): He's dead. Period. Man #5: And now we may move onto a more positive subject. We must strike the boat house soon. Man #6: Who is our next target, boss? Man #5 (Boss): Nick will find a way to bring Mayor Finch into the boathouse. Don't worry. We have our methods. Man #4: So we kill him and then we run. As usual. Boss nods. Man #5 (Boss): Now go before it becomes too suspicious. Remember, we meet by the river day after tomorrow near the boat house on Tradesmith Beach. Each man walks his separate way. You stay down and bob your head a little to fake music. When they're all gone, you get up and head to the police station.

All of you (two people) want to continue it. Okay then. Some of you newcomers may not want to read the whole thing. I encourage you to at least read the original post on the first page. So far we learned that Eva Ross (the fiancee) lives with her family. Right now you're interrogating Max Ross, Eva's father. Interrogation - Max Ross You: So what's with the rug? Max: (flinch) Sorry? You: You have a shiny new rug. On the floor. Max: (smiles stiffly) That's a gift from my friend. From Arabia.

Same thing. a) Just keep going on the mystery b) Let me tell you the synopsis c) Ignore me.
-
Same thing as Sabertooth. a) You can continue on the mystery b) Just let me tell you what's going on c) Ignore me.
-
I am back. You probably want to find out what happened. So I'll give you three options: a) continue on the mystery b) let me tell you the synopsis c) just ignore me. Perfectly understandable, I apologize sincerely.

Can I give a hint? Please please please please please please?
-
...are you sure? If you are, I will.

Weather's nice and cool this summer. Hoodie wouldn't seem out of place. So you got your costume. Cover story?
-
It's called DISGUISE or something. You have to come up with a good cover story and describe to me your disguise. It is today now. What's your cover story and disguise?

Bingo. That was quick. The advanced physician's name is Dr. Kevin Short. (take that, Bellerophon) He says a lot of boring stuff to you and examines the glass shattering pattern. The glass has barely been touched, but Dr. Short still grumbles in frustration, saying something about bugs and the wind shifting the shards. After about three hours studying powdered glass, he comes to you with scarily large amounts of results. The gun is a PGM Hecate II, a french sniper rifle invented 1992. It uses .50 BMG bullets. The shot was a lucky one - it barely made it into Frank. The trajectory and base of shatter (he calls it, he doesn't seem to know exactly what it's called) suggests it was off the rooftop of the Climax City Public School. This would make sense. The broken window was to the south. So what now?

Actually, he made a mistake. Trust me, we did this together. This is the true combination. A black, hollow ball rolls around, But it couldn't stop, for there was nothing to be found. The first pair of numbers in our list of amounts, Yet it is the biggest our hands can count. I am the brother of the last letter. This amount of heads is always better. More than the devil, less than infinity Only one more than twice a trinity.
-
You need to answer a riddle for an advanced physician. Yes, I am that mean. Also, Bellerephon, you need to clarify which museum, there are two. I have no lung, but I can blow. I can control rain and snow. I have no hand, but I can push. I'm capricious, I both stop or rush. Please don't, Bellerophon.

Haha of course MissKitten... Interrogation - Nick You: No, I haven't seen anyone I care die before. But we don't want to. We want to stop it. Please help make Climax City a better place, Nick. Nick: ...he told me that Sarah angered some important people. You: Who did, Nick? What happened? Nick: So he said I had to take my sister into custody or she would be killed. You: What happened then, Nick? Nick: So I.. I said yes and I told her to stay at my house. You: Then what happened? Nick: ..turns out both were targets and he just wanted me to take them in. You: Who did, Nick? Who? For the first time, the lie detector starts beeping loudly. But you know Nick isn't lying. He's just nervous. Nick: You know who they are. You bow down your head in mourning of Frank Milton. You: We'll catch the Rats, Nick. Nick: You don't need to. Just.. please don't let them catch me. You release Nick with two police officers watching him. He has a job at the Pirates Museum. You sigh. What will you do now? Nick turns before he leaves. Nick: There's a meeting of the Rats in Poe Park. Tomorrow. That's all I know.

I seriously don't know who he could be. It simply couldn't be Hermes. But if it's his Roman counterpart, probably the answer is Mercury.
-
Sorry, that was me.
-
A god (presumably) holding a caduceus in one hand and a lyre in the other. He has a winged helmet and appears to be delivering a message. Who could that be?
-
What is on the painting you removed?

I'm back! MissKitten... Your genius is worthy of... I don't know... It frightens me a little. @guppy Everything's old, and Natasha just moved in. They may be worried about the future, but not grasping for anything. Just worried. Interrogation - Nick You: Nick, I know it's been tough. I know you're upset that your wife and sister were killed on the same day right under your nose. Nick: (eyes well up) Don't lie to me. You: I've seen so many deaths before, Nick. I found someone's brain in a box before. Nick: But you haven't seen someone you loved die before. You pause. you realize he's right. You haven't. Fib or sympathize more?

It has been confirmed that the man on the other side of the phone is not on the records. But you know where it came from. It comes from McKinley and Schmuck's bar. Hm. How would someone not notice that? Nick's uncle's name (from now on because I don't remember) is Frank Milton. You go to the Hospital. You go to the 4th floor. You find Frank Milton. He's a pale, frail man. He lies in a bed between a schizophrenic and a sociopath. The schizophrenic constantly mutters, with the occasional yelps, making it hard to hear Frank, but you interrogate him anyway. They're relatively close to a window. Interrogation - Frank You: Hello. Frank Milton? (he looks at you) Frank: ... You: Hello? Frank: ... You: Is this a bad time? Frank: ... you hesitate, then get up) You: Okay. I'll come back to you later. You start to leave, but someone croaks behind you. Frank: ..wait.. You look at him. Frank: ..they'll come for you... You're in danger... You: Pardon, sir? Frank: There are vermin in this town... They will come for you! You: Sir? Frank: The Rats... They're coming... With a shocking noise, the window shatters, and Frank's face shows pain. A spot of red grows on his shirt. The schizophrenic yells out and screams as doctors and nurses come to the scene. You move out of the way. They have more medical experience. You don't feel good. All of your leads died after a cryptic message. So what now? Interrogation - Nick Nick is tied into a chair. Not the most encouraging thing for them to tell you the truth, but you go in. He looks very angry, and he's breathing hard. You: Right. Nick, we're gonna have to ask you a few questions. I trust you'll answer them truthfully? Nick: Bite my a**, Dennis. You: You won't get hurt, Nick. You're safe with us. Nick: ...no. Should you use your taser, sympathize with him or egg him?

Just so you guys know, this is a Zodiac Gang mystery.
-
@flamebirde Bingo! They were strangled.
-
And I won't spoil the riddles. (cackle) The first line is chimera, I agree. But I seriously doubt you need the freaking Chimera. And fail in what? According to Greek Mythology, Bellerophon had help from the gods, who led him to the Pegasus, and they slew the Chimera. So we need to find something to do with the Pegasus? If you wanna stump me, stop using Greek mythology-related riddles.

Interrogation - Max You: Hello. Mr. Ross? Max: Yes, I am. You are Detective Dennis? You: Yes. Can I ask you a few questions? Max: Sure. What do you want? What do you want?
-
I can tell you right now without spoiling the story that it has absolutely NOTHING to do with vampires.

Okay. INSTINCT 1. You call up the police office. The chief picks up, weary. You: Chief! They're attacking tonight! Chief: What do you mean? You: Look at the moon! (there's a pause, then you hear him say, God save us) You: They're going to do something! They're releasing something... On cue, a Sabertooth lunges through your window. Sabertooth: Hello, Detective. 2. You pick up your handy pistol and shoot him. He dies in a bloody heap. 3. You run out the door and downstairs. You look up. Mysterious things are flying across the sky. 4. You fire up to let them know you're there. Kind of a warning shot. 5. You run to the police office to help. The place is a mess. As the sun rises, you hear gunshots and growls and yells of police officers. There's really only one thing you can do at this point. It seems like you need her to do something with you. She's the only one who knows how to get there. That, and well, you just want to see her again. It seems it's mutual. She's looking for someone. Call her name, and she will come to you. (INSTINCT HAS BEEN DISABLED. I AM NOT DOING EVERYTHING FOR YOU)
