  1. Believe it or not, there are many hidden secrets hidden within the mystery itself. It is up to you to find them, great discoverer. Will you join me on this magical journey? /cheeziness 1) [brian Dennis] Brian Dennis' name is just a "play on words" of Brain Den. But you probably got that already. 2) [sabertooth] I actually know a person named Tigrisa. Or, at least we call her that. 3) [sabertooth] I originally didn't mean for the Zodiac Gangs to exist. That was a complete spontaneous decision based on the fact that the gangs appearing so far had to do with a bird, a snake, and tigers. 4) [Returns] Amanda is a friend of mine who, if I asked her to, would have ran away from home with me. 5) [Flying Dutchman] In the map, the different colored buildings were actually going to be important. The red buildings formed the shape of an anchor, the green buildings formed a pistol, and later on, I was planning on adding an extension to the map, allowing the yellow buildings to form a skull. Never really got to that... 6) [brian Dennis] The idea for Brian Dennis was started by Detective Spencer. 7) [Axe of Murder] The mystery was inspired by a school play from a long time ago. All the names are also based off of my classmates' names. 8) [basilisk] I was sick while first writing this mystery. 9) [sabertooth] The Climax Natural History Museum was inspired by the Natural History Museum at New York. 10) [bella Rephon] My friend, Bellerephon, inspired me to reboot the series. To promote it, he started his own mystery series, (which he failed to finish, like me) and we intended for Brian to meet Bella and becoming partners in crime. Or crime-fighting. In fact, Bella was supposed to be Brian's love interest. Didn't work out. More to come when I think of them.
  2. Very excited about the new Brian Dennis. Working on it now, some finishing touches and it'll be all set for tomorrow. I kinda wanna just publish it tonight. :)

I'm also posting a Brian Dennis trivia for the others section. I hope you'll enjoy that.

  3. The narrator from Black Cat? jk jk. How about
  4. Bellerophon is a he. And no, I don't think so.
  5. I don't think it will fry your brain... but it will certainly microwave it and warm it up, at the least. At least, that's what I'm going for.
  6. You get two police squads to go with you and raid the boathouse. The place is empty. Except... except... Nick Milton, shot three times in the shoulder and once in the throat, tied to a chair. Two stabs in the stomach. You observe him. He's been interrogated. He probably gave you away, judging by the note pinned to his forehead: We're coming for you, Brian Dennis. And we'll have your pretty little badge with it, too. There's a ssset of fingerprintsss on the knife. I sssuggesssst you observe them. You test the knife handle for fingerprints and wait a few days. A new mayor is elected. You're not one for politics, but you feel entitled to watch it, as the death of the previous was mostly your fault. You are heading to the police station when all of a sudden, you feel a sharp pain on the back of your head. You black out, and your last vision is a man with a very thick beard and chin in a hoodie grabbing you by the legs and dragging you. TO BE CONTINUED IN BRIAN DENNIS: FUGITIVE Brian Dennis: Fugitive is another one I'm planning. But before that, I'm gonna host Legacy. I bet the timeline is confusing now, so here is the chronological order of all the mysteries I announced so far... -Axe of Murder Brian Dennis' most gruesome case before the Zodiac Gangs -The Burning Phoenix His first encounter with the Zodiac Gangs; this is the Phoenix, the Chicken gang. -The Venomous Basilisk His second encounter; this is the Vipers, the Snake gang. -The Malicious Undead (or something like that) Brian Dennis is kidnapped, and so his brother takes over and finishes off the Vipers. -The Sabertooth Brian Dennis finds out about the Zodiac Gangs' network and works with a woman named Tigrisa to take out the Tiger gang, the Sabertooths. -Here Lies More If I continue this series more, this is where most of the future mysteries will take place. This is respecting the continuity of Climax City's events. -Returns Irrelevant to main story line. As far as you know. He "rescues" two kids, who were planning on running away and got in some trouble with mafia in Ruralia. -The Flying Dutchman Brian Dennis fights the Rats, but doesn't completely defeat them. In fact, he's knocked out and dragged across the city. -Fugitive You'll see. Don't want to give anything away, do I? -Here Lies Even More This is another potential spot for more mysteries. -Legacy His final case. This is the one starting next week. Don't worry, I won't spoil anything. But this one DOES get a little ridiculous. That's my schedule. Hope you enjoyed and wait for Brian Dennis: Legacy!
  7. No, no, no... That's over... I didn't even know where I was going with that one... Although I may recreate it if my new style works better.
  8. I like him too much. I'm planning a new Brian Dennis. I'm releasing it on December 12, 2011. Just so you guys know I'm making one. It's a little more about his later life, and what happens when you mess with the Dragons. I'm going to start playing with a new style of mysteries. I hope you enjoy.
  9. Cavenglok

Welcome to the Den! We have mostly shorter riddles, (usually ridiculous math ones for some reason) but we have longer strategy games like Mafia, as MiKi said. On the topic of Miki.... Is there anything I missed about her? Cause the only nefarious thing I can think of is her, well, incontrollable habit of tasing the poor witnesses of my mysteries...
  10. Still going. By the way, INSTINCT is disabled. We're near the end, so...
  11. Haha.... Yeah... Although Brian isn't half as good as Sherlock. But he seems awfully lucky. Actually, half my planning process is trying to figure out how to get it like Holmes... So you have something to look forward to.
  12. Okay, I'm going to finish this quickly, if you guys don't mind. There's a map around page 5. You are disguised at Poe Park, listening in on a Rats discussion. The Rats have so far murdered two women, the wife and a sister of a Nick Milton. He and his uncle tell you about another Zodiac Gang called the Rats. You set out to Poe Park for their next meeting. They reveal they will lure and strike Mayor Finch near Tradesmith Beach in a boathouse. Nick seems to be some sort of double agent, for your side or theirs. They also seem to think you're dead. You talk to Mayor Finch. The secretary, for some reason, will not let you talk to the Mayor. Finally, she allows you to talk to the Mayor. Interrogation - Mayor Finch You: Mayor Finch, honor to talk to you. Finch: No, honor to talk to such a genius as you. How can I help you, detective? You: There has been a threat to your life. Whatever you do, you must not go to the boathouse near Tradesmith Beach tonight. Finch: (flinch) Why is that? You: There is a gang called the Rats who are after your life. Finch: Why didn't you tell me this before? You: Sorry, sir? Finch: You're too late, detective, they already have my daughter. I can't tell anyone, but I trust you to not tell anyone else. Please. Let me go to the boathouse. I need to save my daughter. You: I can't let you do that, sir. Secretary: Well, I'm against this too, sir. There's a bang behind you, and Finch's shirt starts turning red. You: NO! There's another bang, but you're not there anymore, and Finch is blown back again. You keep moving until you're behind the mayor's desk using it as cover. You fire in the secretary's general direction, but the only gun you hear now is yours. You take a peek and you see no one. You run out of the room. You see the secretary, a pool of blood on the ground. You move her cuff. There's an old, almost faded tattoo of a rat. Of course. You see some hooded figures talking outside the City Hall. Man #1: He's still alive! Man #2: How? Man #1: We gotta tell the boss! You grab the corpse and drive as fast as you can to the station.
  13. Hey, even Sherlock Holmes died for a while. But I'm planning on bringing him back. It just fits the timeline better... I decided that I want to plan out the next ones a little more. The sporadic move-where-the-audience-moves isn't working for me. I'm coming up with all the possibilites to The Flying Dutchman. I think Axe of Murder will be discontinued, I didn't know where that was going. But I will find a time to finish Flying Dutchman at least.
  14. A young woman named Tigrisa came up to you. She heard about your victory against the Phoenix and the Vipers. She explained that there is an organization called the Zodiac Gangs, which is basically an alliance of different gangs who work and are named after animals of the Chineze Zodiac. She asked if you could help her take out the Sabertooths, the Tiger gang. She refuses to share her full name, so you just know her as Tigrisa. The two of you and a police squad travel to their base, but are ambushed by one of the members. You find out that the members' genes have been altered with feline ones, so they are now powerful cat-like things that can jump around and claw people. You manage to scare him away, and the Sabertooth flees. You then inspect a museum, following a mysterious riddle left by the Sabertooths' boss. You look in the Wild West exhibition and find the previous Sabertooth's head, along with five different blood samples. The Sabertooth obviously was killed due to his failure to kill you. Then a phone call directs you to the police station, threatening to kill the mayor of Climax City. The police station head tells you that everything is under control and sends you home. You are disturbed by a riddle given by the boss of the Sabertooths in one of the phone calls. Then you wake up in the middle of the night, realizing that the Sabertooths are about to attack. You run out and join the brawl between the Sabertooths and the police. You and Tigrisa leave the fight to battle the boss of the Sabertooths, Felino. Upon the encounter, you find out that Tigrisa is a traitor and a bait to drag you to him. In a messy fight, you convince Tigrisa to betray Felino. However, you are shot fatally by Felino. Tigrisa shoots him and runs over to you. You tell her to live a better life, then faint. Thanks for sticking with Brian Dennis. You guys have been great, but it's time for me to go offstage. Perhaps to prepare another mystery. But until then, I hope you enjoyed the Sabertooths.
  15. I decided to finish this. Least I owe you guys. So bribe first, then play the guilt game? Interrogation - Tigrisa You: How about I give you more? Tigrisa: Excuse me? You: I give you more money. I have the President of the United States up my sleeve. I have plenty of money. Tigrisa: (slightly disgusted, then tempted, then shakier, then clicks gun) I don't think you understand. It's $1000 and my life I'm getting paid. That obviously isn't gonna work. Why not try the guilt trip? You: You're killing me for $1000? Is that worth it? I'm not even married yet, Tigrisa. You're about to kill a man with dreams and goals he won't be able to finish. You know what I mean. (Tigrisa looks ready to cry! Push a little more!) You: Please, Tigrisa. Felino: I tire of this game. You watch too many James Bond movies, Detective. Let's kill him and be done with it. Good thing you kept your taser within reach. You flip it on and throw it almost lighting speed at the tiger, who growls, tries to pounce, but it collapses. At the same time, you whip out your pistol and shoot Felino. However, your aim is shaky from the rush of getting the gun out quickly, and you only shoot him in the leg. He falls over, curses, then shoots you with his own pistol from his pocket. You fall over and break a window in the door behind you. You inspect the wound. In the chest. A mortal shot. Tigrisa screams and attempts to shoot Felino. The tiger suddenly jolts back to life and attacks the woman. You grab a window shard and charge the tiger so that Tigrisa will have a fair shot at Felino. Having lost their guns, Tigrisa and Felino wrestle while you stab the tiger over and over with the shard while pinning it down. Still alive, the tiger bucks you off. You take the shard and throw it at his neck. Finally, the tiger collapses, and you watch Tigrisa finally knock down Felino. Felino falls near his gun and is about to grab and shoot Tigrisa, but you find Tigrisa's gun next to you. You call her, toss her the gun, and there's a sound of a shot. You can't see anything. Felino: Ah... Good shot... You let out a sigh of relief. Then you gasp. You suddenly remembered pain. There is a wave of pain across your chest as Tigrisa remembers you and runs over. Tigrisa: Brian! You: Tigrisa... Please... I won't make it... Tigrisa: Oh **** no! I'm calling the cops and... turning myself in. And get you to the hospital! You: NO. Tigrisa: What? You: Tigrisa... You're worth so much more than to *cough* live in prison... Keep yourself worth *cough* more than $1000... Your last memory is Tigrisa calling your name, and your eyes close. Summary to come soon.
  16. Cavenglok

Hey, watch it, Bella. Remind me, do you have a way to contact Dan? If you do, ask him subtly as possible.
  17. @Thalia l definitely still be around, but I won't be a regular. @Optimus Prime Glad you enjoyed it.
  18. It's an interactive mystery. The audience makes the detective's decisions, which in turn the narrator reports the results. Look it up on these forums, you'll understand what's going on.
  19. Cavenglok

    I play... musicfreak1905 Don't worry, I don't grief or anything.
  20. Officially retiring from Brian Dennis... Check out my new topic.. Thanks for the memories.

    1. MissKitten

      MissKitten

Darn. :( Ah well, we'll survive! Thanks for the amazing-ness of the series, cav! We'll miss Brian! :D

    2. MissKitten

      MissKitten

..... You a liar. You continued the series. How could you throw me into depression for no reason, cav? I... I.... I TRUSTED YOU! *dramatically bursts into tears* XD

  21. I know most of you probably don't want to rely on me anymore. I've gone dark on you guys, well, a lot. I don't feel you guys deserve that, so I was actually ashamed for a while about talking to you guys. And what I'm doing IS a tad bit shameless... But I hope you understand. I'm officially retiring from Brian Dennis. He's been awesome, you guys have been awesome, but you probably guessed by now that I'm not as interested in him as I used to be. The Zodiac Gangs and Brian Dennis were a pleasure every day I came back, but I just don't have time anymore. But that doesn't mean he has to be over. Anyone who wants to take the reins from here, comment on this topic, and I'll tell you everything up till now that I had planned for Brian Dennis' stories. If you guys start one, I might be able to participate in it every now and then... But anyway. Either way, I don't think I can be the leader of it anymore. Thanks for the great memories.
  22. Cavenglok

    Hello!!

Hey, guys, sorry for going missing again.. I'm Cavenglok, Caven for short... And I'm bringing this topic back because I feel like it. I used to run the Brian Dennis series. Yes, MiKi was infamous for loving the taser... To the point where I considered to take it away, but she was too... well, addicted. So I kept it. But now Brian Dennis' legacy may be over... I'm too busy, I just started high school and it's a nightmare for someone who procrastinated the homework until the morning of the day it was due. So I went dark a lot over the course of the mysteries. But anyway. I honestly don't know why I'm introducing myself, you won't see a lot of me, unfortunately... But I do suggest you read some of them. Anyway. Welcome. I hope you have as much fun as I had.
  23. Sorry guys, high school sucks. Read first post at least. It'd be helpful to read first page. So you meet Eva's parents. Her father's name is Max. When you went to their house, you found a suspicious rug. You do have a lie detector. This new brand is so advanced technologically it only detects lies, not if you're nervous or not. You use it against Max. Interrogation - Max You: Are you sure about your shiny new rug here? Max: What, you take me for a liar? [NO RESULT] You: Give me a direct answer, Max: I got it from a friend. [NO RESULT] WIT Get him to give you a direct answer!
  24. Okay. Just so you guys know, I think I can reply once every week. So cook up as many questions during the week and I'll try and answer. As for the bulletproof vest, yes, but your head and neck are vulnerable. The tiger is there. It seems pretty intimidating but peaceful, but I wouldn't count on that. Interrogation (not really) - Tigrisa You: So, Tigrisa. You decided that Felino was the better option. Tigrisa: (shaky) He has the money. You don't understand, Brian. I come from a family with nothing. Felino offered hospitality for one thing. You: My life. It was a good deal, then? Tigrisa: ...yes... It's..Uh... Best for the Sabertooths.
  25. Alright. First, Tigrisa, a young woman, told you that there's an organization of mobs called The Zodiac Gangs. Each gang is based off of a zodiac animal. You finished the Phoenix, (chicken) and the Basilisk. (snake) Your next target is the Sabertooth, or the Tiger Gang. You find your first one in front of a museum. They're half cat, half human. In your first (failed) skirmish, the Sabertooth fled. You examined the Wild West Exhibition, where the head of the previous Sabertooth was found. The boss of the Sabertooth has sent you a strange poem-riddle thing. Then you find out multiple threats of assassination of Mayor Finch have been claimed. The chief sends you home after a long day of work. Then you realize that the poem said that the Sabertooth attacked at the latest full moon, a.k.a. NOW. After fighting a few Sabertooth members, you follow Tigrisa into the Sabertooth base. You find out she's a traitor. Right now, you are basically in front of Felino, the Sabertooth boss. He has a gun pointed at you. Tigrisa just betrayed you and went over to the other side and is pointing her gun at you. I just called out for WIT.
