  1. Per chicory's request, honest, and feel obliged since (s)he solved my last WAI (you really should at least set the gender on your profile cuz it's he and chic from here on out). Think I made these a little tougher but the first two may reveal a theme, simplifying the rest somewhat. Enjoy... Stinky, sleeping, and sheltered sounds. (6) Existing liscense sporting injury safehouse rightly belittled. (6) Rate posting outlines airline disclaimer prior to surgical requirement. (8) Tiny leftward circuit shortened route nano seconds is one reason. (8) Good male, small male, stuck in Michigan area code ward. (7) Mass retreat of daytime soldier sounding without limits. (6) Reflection: "Short pathway between mythical 12th and 13th tells the meaning of blindness." (9) One lines up to say love is more questionable. (8) For those new to these Play on Word "Quickies" - Each word or two (generally speaking) of the puzzle corresponds to a letter or two (generally speaking) "spelling" out the answer. Other descriptors can be thrown in refering to the relation of individual letters. The letters will "read" left to right as presented unless there is a descriptor that directs otherwise. For the most part, punctuation is not part of the answer but rather to make the clue read better. Other than that, the clues are very precise. There are no unnecessary words in the clues or extra letters in the answers. It's best to read these very literally. The numbers in parenthesis indicate the number of letters in the answer.
  2. 1. It’s a ritual to shake up soda-pop in England. (9)

yeah, poor cut and paste or I guess I could just say a typo.
  4. The brother’s house was finally closed after an evil beast ate one of them. Edit: Nevermind, now see this one's already solved.
  5. Much better... Edit: got the clue number wrong the first time
  6. A little late but think am starting to catch on. Still pretty doubtful on this one but...
  7. chicory strikes again! hmm, seems like I've said that before. Congrats! Better than your first answer, right? Hope you were satisfied still.
  8. I'm curious to know what others think of this riddle (good/bad/indifferent)? Yay indeed. Love that feeling when you come across the singular answer and it has to be it cause it all fits so perfectly. For me it was just rereading the first line for the umpteenth time and as soon as I said it, knew it fit several of the other lines. Then when I read thru it entirely new it all fit. Eureka! Just the way a great riddle should be. Got the film noire reference (excellent flavor captured in the body by the way) but not the anagram. Huuuuge! Forgot to say, Tag, you're it....

Sounds like a good idea. Have never added a pole but sounds straightforward enough. It would be great to easily seperate solved riddles from the rest.
  10. still gonna have to say too much of a stretch. think you'll agree with my answer when you solve this riddle, chicory.
  11. certainly works with the first stanza and with your explanation, could stretch to some, maybe even most, of the rest but not really justified as to "available if fit". not what I had in mind and will have to deny as an alternate answer as well. as always tho, great logic.
  12. thought this might provoke some anything....
  13. All good answers for sure. 'Tho not what I'm lookin' for. My answer I'm sure you'll agree. Fits every clue to a tee.
  14. sorry, no. but you've been on quite a roll solving magic_luver101's long standing and now TheLastOne's *a small branch of old reality* (at least I gotta think so; definitely the best answer so far in my opinion)
