!!! I just realized we don't have a drummer!!! Does anyone play drums? This is always my problem when it comes to bands, everyone sings and plays guitar, no one plays drums.. <_<
  2. Izzy

I think we should all agree on a song first. The Mafia Theme Song is first on the list, so think of songs that make you get into a Mafiay mood. *Is really hoping for an awesome Metally guitar part* Think dark, think scary. I know I've mentioned this song before, a lot, but it fits, has some instrument parts, and no scary metal singing! Fear of the Dark - Iron Maiden Reay, can we pwetty pwease wiff cherries, sprinkles, and cute kittens on top use your board? ? I'll throw in all the swimming gear imaginable and a lightsaber.
  3. Izzy

Yeah, I'm fine with the overlap. Chances are I'll get killed off in one or the other pretty soon anyway.
  4. You guys got banned for three days? *Kind of expecting a mod to come in now and be like "Oops, we messed up on our punishment. Take another day!"* When you have to leave in 31 minutes, and you're not dressed, not packed (for the stuff I need on the plane), and haven't eaten. *curses* Brain Den is making my mom hate me.
  5. Izzy

Umm. Can we start in like 3 days? I'm not going to on at all after another half hour for the next day or so..

Santa! Santa! I want a pet white tiger! Please! Or an albino corn snake. Mostly a tiger...

Eugh, I hate metronomes.. >_> My guitar teacher always said it seemed like I was just playing hard/fast stuff as fast as I could, and even though it sounded great, someone with his experience could tell I wasn't on beat. So I was like "*Gets out metronome* Alright, let's see you do it then." And he played it, uber fast, perfectly on beat, and I was like . And then I kicked him.. I can do slow stuff with metronomes! (Up to 16th notes at 100 using the pentatonic scales. Which doesn't seem that fast, but it is!) More on topic: I'm leaving for Germany tonight guys. Well, 'cos it's an international flight, I have to be at the airport by 3, so this will probably be my last post until then. Keep signing up, everyone (even bassists ) is welcome. I'll be back home on the 3rd, and if we have a song and everything, we can probably start recording that week.

Eh, I blame Victor Stenger for my mistake. I was looking at a diagram of his that looks sort of like this , but at the origin he wrote "Planck time". What I probably meant was "As time, measured in Planck time, increases, blah blah". Thanks. Better for you to realize my mistakes and correct them than someone we're arguing against.
  9. Psst, guys. Keep down on the off-topicness. I got banned that way. >_>

BECAUSE EVOLUTION STILL EXISTS WHETHER GOD DOES OR NOT. And I *think* she was being sarcastic.

I'm there with 'ya! I want to climb Mt. Everest when I grow up, and I think stopping in Alaska for half a year or so would be fun.

I'm a bit picky about what I listen to, so I can assure you all my music is good. Bruce Dickenson (ex-vocalist from Iron Maiden) has a lovely voice, and if you find a live version of Fear of the Dark, the "Oh, oh oh oh ohh ohohohoh, oh oh oh oh ohohohoh, oh oh ohhh" is just.. brilliant. Iron Maiden is just phenomenal. I dunno if you go after lyrics or music, but most of their songs have a pretty cool meaning, and Dave Murray (guitarist) pwns. It's all... beautiful. Awesome, awesome, awesome band. My friend James was once asked what his favorite Iron Maiden song was, and he couldn't narrow it down further than a list of 30-odd songs. Dream of Mirrors is awesome, so is Fear of the Dark, and Phantom of the Opera, The Trooper, and.. pretty much all their other stuff. >_> Okay, enough about Iron Maiden. Here's a list of recommendations: Pink Floyd: Time, Wish You Were Here, Brain Damage, Us and Them (I feel like I'm forgetting one..) Bad Religion: Let Them Eat War, American Jesus, Punk Rock Song, Big Bang, Social Suicide NOFX: Franco Un-American, The Separation of Church and Skate, She's Nubs Jonathan Coulton: The First of May (This is an amazing song, but it isn't completely appropriate) Ian Dury and the Blockheads: Sex and Drugs and Rock 'n Roll (Same as above) Bob Dylan: Mr Tambourine Man Billy Joel: We Didn't Start the Fire, Goodnight Saigon, The Piano Man Slash's Snakepit: Been There Lately Guns n' Roses: Paradise City, Sweet Child o' Mine, etc. (Civil War is pretty good too!) Alice Cooper: No More Mr. Nice Guy, School's Out For The Summer JerryC : Canon Rock (This was originally by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, but this is a newer more guitary version) David Bowie: Rebel Rebel, Changes, Ziggy Stardust, Life on Mars, pretty much all his music is good. Green Day: You better already be listening to Green Day.. I can't imagine you liking Metallica, but they do have some good stuff!: The Unforgiven I and II, Wherever I May Roam, The God That Failed, Sad But True, Enter Sandman (nice at night), Nothing Else Matters Led Zeppelin: Good Times Bad Times, The Immigrant Song Ramones: Blitzkreig Bop, Rock and Roll High School, Do You Remember Rock 'n' Roll Radio?, Rockaway Beach, Baby I Love You, The KKK Took My Baby Away Yellowcard: Sureshot (I loved this song when I was little >_>) Man, there's so much more but I really want to finish up this post. Get in some Queen, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, and other stuff in too! Have fun!

Haha, I was about to post "Geez Kat, the only song is recognize from your list is Good Riddance", and then I read what ST said. >_>
  14. Oh man, is it really? That makes him about 100x hotter. When you have some pretty surreal dreams (a mix of Harry Potter, Star Wars, some martial arts stuff, and a really posh restaurant in the middle of a super market), and upon waking up, the first thing you think is "Man that was pretty weird, but kinda normal compared to everyone else's Mafia dreams!"
  15. She's sleeping on my lap now. I'd totally take a picture, but that involves getting up.. When House is on, and you're hardly paying attention because you're too busy on here. That's saying a lot btw, House is hawwwt. If you guys didn't know I liked him already.

According to my Last.Fm (which hasn't been updated in ages), my 15 Most Listened to Artists Are (In order): Iron Maiden (164) Bad Religion (111) Led Zeppelin (90) The Buzzcocks (82) Joe Satriani (70) Green Day (55) Ramones (54) Rammstein (48) NOFX (44) Guns n' Roses (44) Slash's Snakepit (43) Bob Dylan (41) Metallica (38) Die Toten Hosen (36) Alice Cooper (35) Woah, there is *definitely* some Pink Floyd missing from that! I think it's 'cos I never listen to the songs fully so they don't sync.. Pink Floyd *pwns* Definitely in my top 5. 15 Most Listened to Songs Are (In order): Eh, I'm too lazy to list 'em. Just lookit. http://www.last.fm/user/The_Izzy/charts?subtype=tracks
  17. Aww, you got banned for 3 days? I was only gone for 2. When your cat is staring at you and totally want to cuddle, but you're waaay too busy discussing fun things like Evolution!

According to Dictionary.com, entropy is just the amount of thermal energy unavailable to do work. That doesn't render it useless. Until now, I've just used it to refer to chaos, and we've yet to cover this at school, so excuse me if I seem a bit fallacious. Because E = mc^2, entropy should easily be able to be converted in to some sort something. Energy is always available for using, and the more matter we have (planets, in this case), the more space there is for energy to be able to do its job. Ergo : A higher probability of planets that are suitable for evolution to occur on.

    Heh. Was I right though?
  20. Izzy

So you're saying that anyone who honestly wants to see God, can? 'Cos that's what it sounds like, and that definitely isn't true.
  21. Izzy

98% sure this has been done before.
  22. Izzy

Haha, I know. Earlier when I said matter can be created, I was applying the same rules that are administrated to energy. I feel like stressing that matter can't be made out of nothing, in case bociniki is thinking that now. *edit* Well, matter can be made out of nothing, but an antimatter particle that the matter particle is now forever entangled too is created as well. If I didn't make that clear. That's what I'm thinking. It's the only thing that makes sense if I put together all the scientific things I know. Unless there's some weird (awesome weird ) math law that makes everything total to nil, I don't see what besides antimatter/anti-energy could do it. Also, I'm going to answer it before it's brought up. The reason we don't live in a completely chaotic universe (although entropy is increasing and is much more than it was at the start of Planck time) is because as the universe expands, the maximum amount of entropy the universe can have (there is a limit, depending on the size of the universe ) expands as well, but at a faster rate than the amount of entropy the universe actually has. So there's way more room for order now than there was ages ago. Which is why, as time goes on, the universe becomes more and more orderly. ...And this is related to evolution because, as time goes on, better and better species evolve! Yeah. Word.

Hey Reay, when would be start?
