Question

The attached image by Ghee Beom Kim has several interesting optical qualities. By mentally switching gears one can push ridges into troughs and pull troughs into ridges.

To my eyes this image also shimmers and dances. I do not know what causes this psuedo motion.

Ghee also has a number of geometrical tessellations that can be interpreted as 3-D surfaces. Like this attached graphic "At The Beginning", these also can be interpreted in two ways.

Ghee's website.

He has a lot of interesting stuff.

Looks really decent but, don't stare at it for too long.

Indeed. If you stare at it too long it will transform into a seething mass of writhing tentacles and you will be in danger of getting grabbed and pulled into your computer screen.

I may be ignorant, but I don't see a thing. I scrolled up and down, stared at the middle, moved my head around, even tried looking at it upside-down while poking myself in the stomach singing 'Phantom of the Opera' but I still failed to see anything. Help me.
