um, i dont mean to harp, but it should be 336, not 326. because it would be 343-7, which equals 336.

Well that's weird. I got #2 in a completely different, not so logical way.

I started with 1*2 and added two to each variable in turns:

1*2=2

3*2=6

3*4=12

5*4=20

5*6=30

7*6=42

7*8=56

9*8=72

I feel stupid for just going with the "added by 2, then by 4, then by 6, so it's [n + (v + 2)] (v being what was previously added by, n being the number we're working with)
