Very well. I will have a few versions typed out and post it at 1AM PST. Please don't stay up too late everyone. Don't want this to mess up your rhythm. You know who you are. :P

Guilty! It looks like I'm turning into an owl at this rate...a mafia-addicted owl :P

scsw: Does the Myath have 2 RID attempts, or 2 RID kills? If it's attempts, I'm pushing for a Mrs.P lynch. If it's RID kills, I'm pushing for a CP lynch.

Ok, I'm leaving for sure now, before I lose my internet privilege :o So long!

Day 3 – Of Hope and Despair

The citizens of Wyrmhaven gathered under the overcast skies that morning to mourn for the loss of yet another citizen – lovely Jaina. She was found dead near the tavern, with her soul seemingly sucked out of her.

“What a horrible fate,” the crowd whispered.

“Are there any leads?” someone questioned out loud. Murmurs swept to the crowd and someone stepped forward.

“She was last seen with CP!”

The crowd grew feverish. The mistakes of the past days ignored in the fervor, they sent a small group to apprehend CP. The remaining citizens resumed their search for possible candidates. After some debate, they settled on MrsP, whose defense was that she worked with gold pieces. That seemingly solid defense did not hold and the crowd captured MrsP.

***

Both lynch candidates were tied onto a makeshift pyre. Equally desperate, both victims pleaded for mercy and divulged a plethora of information to the bloodthirsty crowd, hoping to appease them. Sadly, their words fell on deaf ears. Certain that they have the right suspects, the crowd did not hesitate to light the pyre on fire; an act to avenge their fallen friends, trusting that the fire will torment the candidates’ souls for eternity.

The magnitude of the fire grew exponentially. What was a small kindling a few seconds ago grew into a wild, uncontrollable palette of red and orange, twirling and dancing around both CP and MrsP. The fire seemed alive, sadistic even. They cringed as tongues of flames licked playfully at them. The crowd watched with a strange glee as the fire enveloped both victims with a fury of a thousand storms. As the fire grew to its peak, and all hope seemed lost to the two of them, a young man pushed through the crowds.

“No! CP would not have killed Jaina!” he yelled as he valiantly dashed into the flames. The crowd gasped in disbelief. Time stopped.

Seconds that seemed like eternity passed and the young man emerged victoriously from the flames, carrying a weak CP in his arms.

“She was hurt the night before and I, for one, will not let my anger cloud my judgments! She could not have hurt Jaina!” he declared and pushed through the stupefied crowd. Looking at everyone condescendingly, he carried CP home in his strong arms, leaving the zealous crowd to watch MrsP’s demise.

A maniacal laughter ensued from within the blazing pyre and everyone's attention turned back to the forgotten MrsP. MrsP was still alive in the scorching storm of flames!

“And I thought I could take another with me! Listen, foolish citizens of Wyrmhaven! I am the Silencer and the wheels of time have started turning! Your time is naught and you cannot stop us. Soon Chaos will rule the world!” wailed MrsP. Her laughter resumed and soon disappeared into ashes, like everything else consumed by the fire.

As much as the citizens wanted to cheer and rejoice, a feeling of impending doom gnawed at them. The warning seemed true and the day was coming to an end. Chaos had always ruled the night and in face of such morose news, the citizens' wills chipped.

However, the despair could not completely obscure the fact that the citizens scored a victory that very day that wrought hope. Beneath the gloomy, overcast skies, the flames of justice set by the citizens danced gleefully; a stark colorful contrast to the grey, pallid backdrop. To everyone who saw it that evening, it was a shining beacon of hope, and in a chaotic and unsure world, hope was the only thing they could hold on to.

Slick is here from the abyss. Perhaps my abundance of computer access, will allow me to destroy all the baddies. I wish there was a healer to save us. *accepts the role and hopes it's a decent one*biggrin.gif if you need me. Edited by akaslickster

Hi - sorry folks, I have mild concussion and over slept - I never sleep more than 6 hours, yesterday was (n)+teen hours.

I will read some of he thread if I can, a rapid scan tells me somethings, but need to go back to the ST/CP defense/attack... It's now looking fishy.

My initial feeling is that ST is infected from N2 or N3. I may be wrong???

I expect there will be a RID kill - it's easier now.

If we have the Diviner, then a 50/50 chance of RID Permanent save against the RID kill, whichever prevails.

If we have the Bararian we have a chance of Killing the Chimera or the infected

* If you lost BTSC with someone, you or they are infected, especially if you have BTSC with the Chimera and you guys will spin us.

Also before I was bowled over a car I had the thought that once we have a HoC that is not the Enchantress, then we a chance with the Barbarian, actually two options

I can not tel if I am infected or will be :( or :) as i'm not sure which side is gonna win, We ahve a better chance now a HoC has gone!

Also one of the first new posts I went to had ST asking a question on everyone's lips. This is surely easy to figure out. Work on it some more ST, but you already know maybe?? Until we have he Chimera, there is little I can say, other than I do not need Devine intervention as much as others

Oh and Mrs.P :P you a bad girl!

Anyway - not gonna close my eyes too easily today! Off till I read through 20 PAGES

Oh pff. So close, so close...I feel like that backstab smiley would come in handy soon... :(

What happens if the Myath dies the night the spawn joins the BTSC group?

Nah, I have no clue how the Chimera would know my ID unless she has a spy, and for reasons I shall not say, that chance is quite small. On the other hand, I have a feeling 1 out of 2 (maybe 3) suspects of mine have been infected, especially if the Myath has a shot at it every night.

* If you lost BTSC with someone, you or they are infected, especially if you have BTSC with the Chimera and you guys will spin us.

Yup, in the case that the Myath does die soon, I would say that the BTSC people should probably hint at the spawned goodie as soon as possible.

 Who knows? Maybe you're the one infected :)

Quick question: How does this baddie list sound? GM, LIS and music/slick. I wasn't so sure on music though...CP thought she was a goodie, for all that's worth :P It was either music or Rir...and I've been flitting between LIS, but the recent lynch (which seems like the only reliable test) showed him as a baddie. What do you think?

Innkeeper and Barbarian should both go for a baddie tonight if they feel they know who to go for.

Remember that the Myath probably has the Healer's save and will be covered for the night.

Innkeeper, I guess if you dont have a sure target for the baddie kill, you should protect yourself.

Does anyone know if the Barbarian is still alive?

Actually, after asking scsw, apparently the same restrictions for the Healer's ability applies to the Myath. She clearly used that save last night, so she can't use it tonight. :)

I have no clue whether the Innkeeper or Barbarian are still alive. If they are, don't say anything, although I think tpax might have been the Barbarian  Well, actually, he might have been the Witch Doctor too...I wish we still had the Bricklayer :P Err, but for the benefit of the goodies, we better not march too into it. Enough ID's have been revealed already. Once again, don't say anything (no clues, no outing roles etc...) unless you made my accusation list :P

Thanks for pointing that out

Well, if you are testifying for derrai, I will trust you on that one. That leaves GM, LIS, Slick, woon and SG. I dont have much to say about woon, I trust SG for now, riranor seems to be a benefit to us, GM has been on my baddie list from the start and your right, LIS has been acting funny. I dont know enough about Music to say anything, but by process of elimination, slick is bad.

If the Innkeeper is still alive, would you suggest that they save themself, or take a chance with a kill attempt?

If they are still alive, I wish I knew how much money they still had left.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm just going to jump into it now...

Merchant – steal GM’s vote

Defender – defend Rir or Derrai

Innkeeper – defend woon or IDNE

Witch doctor – block GM or music or LIS

Barbarian – kill LIS or music... your choice :)

Diviner – RID protect one of your victims

Just fyi, all the goodies are covered :D I know for sure that tpax is either the Witch Doctor or Barbarian, so if there's no kill tonight, he's the Witch Doctor. I really hope he's not the Barbarian, but at least he's not a saver :) And if you are the Witch Doctor or Barbarian, don't say anything.

Ok, baddies, that leaves you pretty cornered. So, you have two options:

1) You can risk a kill on a goodie. But if you look, all the defenses have only 2 options, so you're chances of hitting a goodie is 50/50. That's a fairly high percentage of being blocked. Which means, you could have just wasted a kill on a baddie. You learn nothing and you don't benefit at all.

2) You can kill CP, the Myath. That's a 100% kill. Your enemy is the indie too. If you let her slip tonight, she'll probably get her 2 spawns ready, what with all the information out there. If I have already almost filled out my entire roster, the Myath can too (knowing CP, it will happen). That means that even if you kill another spawn, she can probably replace it just as easily. Tonight's the main night. If you wait another night, then I'm almost positive she already has her 2 spawns. Whatever their goal is, if there's 2 of them and we don't know who the spawns are, they can reach their goal fairly easily. Back to Step 1, except with reduced numbers on the baddies' side and a wayyyy higher chance for the indies to win. You kill her tonight, the indies are done for and it'll just be the goodies vs. baddies.

Your choice.

You baddies are probably thinking that the Innkeeper doesn't have any gold left, and can't save. News flash! I lied. :) The Innkeeper has at least 2, not sure of the exact number though. SO the question is, whether I got BTSC with the Baron on N2 or am I a spy role? :o

If the merchant has established BTSC with the Baron, he will be unable to steal a vote but he will have some money to help out.

Innkeeper, you better choose me. I know where you live, lol ;)

Are you saying that SG and you are protected?

Another Question: Can the innkeeper use multiple abilities a night if they have the money?

Woah, I'm a baddie??? Well thanks for not believing me. I was dead right with a baddie and a indie being up for lynching and it wasn't because I knew who MrsP was. I had her down as the Dark Mage. Anyway as far as defending myself, I can just say that I only had one useful night so far. I believe music to be a baddie and LIS now more than before, but I'm not 100% sure. Look, if the witch doctor doesn't block me tonight, it will be good for the goodies.

I'd say that no one really believes anyone in a mafia game, unless they have some kind of proof. However, this late in the game it would seem that ST has her roster down, and finished, so it's no longer a matter of trust.

scsw, if the Merchant and Baron meet tonight, does the Merchant get a gold piece and can he use it on that night?

If the answer is yes, I'll let the Merchant make the decision. He can protect himself or ID someone. Personally, I would go for the self-protection, since after looking down the baddie list, there's not a significant one we need to off immediately.

Yea I guess so. Well IDNE you supposedly had me down from the beginning and therefore its surprising I look more bad than ever. I trust that ST is the Baron and that CP is the Myath but I don't need to defend myself, I already have defended myself and I believe that my defense is pretty good and in fact it is a very good defense for the goodies.

Got it?

EDIT: @ST: Agreeing with the Baron shouldn't make me any more suspicious than anyone else. I have hinted at my role enough now and I feel I should be trusted by now. I didn't even push for a vote to save MrsP. I did a good move and since in your role you are in control supposedly then following orders shouldn't make me suspicious. You owe me if anything

Ooh, I seem to have conveniently missed all your hints. Care to give a couple more? :)

By the way, who said I was the Baron? I could easily be the Defender, or better yet, the Diviner :o I really doubt the Baron will yell out orders for himself! Although now that I'm thinking about it, it might have been a good plan :P
