DudleyDude
A quintessential palatial estate and a quaint home positioned 'tween the poplars and pines. Quit not til you have half a quartet; a pair, pretty please, of MrsP's kind.

0 Guest
Potent/Poor (if not correct; does it have something to do w/ "P"s because of the Poplar/Pines; Pretty/Please; Pair of MrsP's???) 0 DudleyDude
castle....???? or a manor....???? One of these is almost half the answer Potent/Poor (if not correct; does it have something to do w/ "P"s because of the Poplar/Pines; Pretty/Please; Pair of MrsP's???) And t_mo is quite close to discovering the other half with this line of reasoning. P isn't the only letter to stand out...

0 DudleyDude
quality/quarantine or quietly quarantined sorry, going in the wrong direction you did pick up the other letter I was hoping people would notice. But you'll need to find a way to combine them with one of EDM's answers.

0 DudleyDude
That's it, t_mo good job. And good job to EDM as well for getting one of the words. manors/manners The first word was a result of the direct clues from the riddle. The second was from the phrase "P's and Q's" which was (hopefully) indicated by the unusual number of P's and Q's used in the riddle. I hope everyone enjoyed this one
