ANSWER: the lake is frozen or may be dry......!!!

The tractor was in a field. It was used to dig the lake in the ground. Piled all the dirt up in the middle. Drove up onto it. And waited for the rain to come and fill up the lake.

not transported by air or boat, so presumably it was driven. This could easily have been done when the lake was dry or frozen.
