Question

This is my first riddle, so please be kind. Although I think it'll just be a one or two guesser, it was quite fun to make. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed your riddles.

Spitting rhymes and dropping signs,

He was the voice of his generation.

One of four, need I say more -

The cause of many a girl's excitation.

Pushed the bounds, continued their sounds.

We loved his orchestration.

Florida born, MCA scorned.

He's a heartbreaking sensation.

His sweet voice, that perfect voice

Will be missed by the whole nation.

These five men, together "again"

Produced a compilation.

Name the men and the band they're in

And enjoy some riddle solving jubilation!

May have made a connection

Brian Wilson? (the only Beach Boy I know by name)

Bingo

I imagine the rest will fall quickly now

Yeah, I think I got this one. Not my field of expertise so initally was thinking I was out of luck.

Bob Dylan, George Harrison (not good vibrations), pass, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison all of the Traveling Wilburys.

Dang, who am I forgetting? Maybe it will come to me...

Sweet, all guess are correct

is definitely the "least famous" of them all. His band was quite popular but most people didn't know his name. I'll wait a few minutes and if you or someone doesn't get it I'll go ahead and post it. Great job

Grats to plainglazed for the right answer(s).

Spitting rhymes and dropping signs,

He was the voice of his generation.

- Bob Dylan (first line refers to his famous video for "Subterranean Homesick Blues")

- As a bonus to poetry lovers, the video has Ginsberg hanging out in the background.

One of four, need I say more -

The cause of many a girl's excitation.

- George Harrison - of The Beatles (No explanation really needed)

Pushed the bounds, continued their sounds.

We loved his orchestration.

- Jeff Lynne of ELO (Electric Light Orchestra). Their music was very similar to the recent Beatles music.

Florida born, MCA scorned.

He's a heartbreaking sensation.

- Tom Petty. Played with The Heartbreakers. Had a fairly famous tiff with MCA over the prices of his albums.

His sweet voice, that perfect voice

Will be missed by the whole nation.

- Roy Orbison - simply one of the greatest voices ever in rock-n-roll.

These five men, together "again"

Produced a compilation.

Name the men and the band they're in

And enjoy some riddle solving jubilation!

- These five got together in 1988 as The Traveling Wilburys.

Hope you enjoyed it
