Question

Ok, I had to give this type of riddle a shot. Maybe Lotus inspired me. It's easy, I think, but I have been known to be mistaken.

To determine the answer, here's what you do;

take two words, making one from the two

The first can be a greeting in a hall,

and would not describe a valley at all!

The second you will know I'm sure,

What is a rabbit compared to a boar?

Now combine your clues, and keep your mind limber,

And you'll have a tool to help you remember.

Now I see why you guys all like these. I should do more. What is wrong with my neighborhood? I live across the street from a park, and this ice cream truck (or van, more like) comes by playing christmas music. If that isn't wrong!!!

YES! You are a pro. What are these riddles called again?

I don't know. I never came up with a word for it. I usually just call them "two part" riddles, But usually I let the solver figure that out for themselves. But, I ALWAYS separate parts with stanzas, so that it's more obvious the separation. Always, 1. a part 2. another part 3. description.

I just sort of started doing these when I thought of....hmmm, what was it....like pomp and circumstance, or something like that.

Lol, that's nothing. There's a drycleaner's van that drives by my apartment every thursday playing tacky accordian music.

Horrible!!! What is wrong with people? (just today, I spotted the old "ice cream truck station." And there were actual legitimate ice cream trucks, and then.....the van). Who trusts an ice cream van? (especially that plays christmas music).
