0 Guest
It has to do with a book and a newbie and if my last guess was close then could it be reading the rulebook to a newbie before playing a board game?

You told us to look at the thread title right? Oh, I see. The title has nothing to do with it. It's just embarrassing. I was referring to a comment I had made about the structure of the riddle. Really two riddles with the same answer.

Thanks! Chess_Vixen's "Book" is merely on the right track but the one word answer to the riddle(s) is not a book's title.

0 hugemonkey
Dont know the protocall here but here's an editted version of the above which was way too wordy and poorly written. Sorry if this offends. Leaves are turning but no where they blow. Tho 'neath the tree this takes me so Many places both far and wide. It's up to you. You can decide Where to go and what to discern From me; it's endless what you can learn. This sound to me like a library or reading But if it's games you're prepared to play, Not the game of life but instead you might say, "Around again to the first crossing you come" May make this riddle a lot easier for some. I'm thinking board games like Monopoly and the quote here reminds me of the "take a ride on the Reading Railroad" (the first railroad crossing) so my answer would be reading Maybe only marginally better but needed to do.... Thanks

0 plainglazed
Wow..can't believe I missed that. Awesome riddle! You were right there and had the break out discovery that I think eventually got it solved. Thanks so much. Put up another tonight which is 100% play on words. Clues like the "instead you might say" in this riddle referring to the different pronunciation of the railroad town "Reading" (homophones). Question
plainglazed
Leaves are falling with no where to go
Tho 'neath the tree you take me so
Many places both far and wide
It's up to you, only you can decide
To take it or leave it as you like
For some the balance is hard to strike
Now where to go and what to learn
From me it's endless what one can discern
But if it is games you are prepared to play
Not the game of life but instead you might say
Around again to the first crossing you come
May make this riddle a lot easier for some.
