Question

An aroma, intoxicating, sweet to some.

Intended to make the honeybees come.

Freesia, rose, or witch’s broom

Will never compare to the Lotus bloom.

Put them together, as a gentleman knows,

Give them to a lady, all tied with bows.

These, I find are the sweetest things:

Combine the Lotus and Bird of Paradise’s wings.

Graarr!! yourself. I LOVE flowers, but then: when your named after one, it sort of goes with the territory. I LOVE orchids, but I think my husband loves them better. He would spend his last dollar on them.

I think this riddle is fairly simple. I have a lot of specific names where a more broad word is the answer. : )

Lotus.
