The vacationer, the waitress, the manager, and the chef. They all have stories, but one of them is lying. Feel free to ask questions. I will start.

I ask the vacationer: Where were you at the scene of the crime.

Alright, ive got two points i know they should have been stated before but

1. The vacationer said he liked Nancy. so, he didnt want her to go out on a date with the chef, so maybe he killed her best friend so that she couldnt go out and then the manager suspected him so he killed him too.

(although i do suspect that the manager was killed for a better reason )

2. The lady at 42 said she didnt like the soup and it was too bitter, Now if everybody else liked it why didnt she? maybe nancy or someone else put something in it to make it taste bitter like pepper or something.

1. The 1st victim was the vacationer's ex-wife. That's more of a motive.

2. The soup was bitter because there was a key in it.

I'm thinking that:

a. The chef must have locked the door. He's the only one still standing with access.

b. Somebody wanted Betsy to find the key so put it in her soup.

c. The chef glued up the lock when he discovered the key was missing or, if he put the key in the soup, glued up the lock when he knew it would be discovered.

I wish everybody were still here / conscious because I would like to ask each person in turn if they put the key in the soup. Are we allowed to phone Nancy and ask her? If someone says yes, an innocent person put the key in the soup. If all say no, the murderer put the key in the soup.

Maybe you should find nancy and be nice, betsy is dead, the chef and the vacationer is here and GUESS WHAT! We found a pulse in the manager, but he's still out cold. Sure call nancy. Hmm... the chef was the only one to tamper with the soup. or was he?

The chef has never had a date, even though they're all 20 years out of High School. Why? Because he's gay.

The chef and the vacationer had a gay relationship in High School.

Betsy knew about this because the vacationer is her ex-husband.

The manager knows the chef is gay and doesn't want his daughter (Nancy) to get involved with him.

The manager put the key in the soup to try to expose the chef's 'gay lair' (Abba posters etc.) in the basement.

The chef is desperate to make a new life with Nancy, have kids etc.

He kills Betsy and tries to kill the manager in an attempt to keep his gay past a secret.

I doubt the motive has to do anything with his cooking. He was suprised to find that Betsy didn't like the soup. Sounds like he didn't put the key there but he could just be lying.

Manager: Father on Nancy. Also found out about last night and could want to get revenge on Betsy. Possible motive.

If the wounds could be caused by broken shards of glass, and since no explosion occured I am guessing someone threw a vase or more at Betsy. The vase broke and the shards injured here. A vein in the neck could have been cut and lead to Betsy's death.

Since water doesn't do anything we can use an oil or alcohol based solvent. The kitchen should have cooking oil and wine(used for some of the dishes)

Me: The key in the food locker key, but it's no use because there is ooze in the hole. WE NEED TO GET IT oPEN PEOPLE!

Me: The wounds bled A LOT!!!!! Yes there is plenty of blood. One in the neck, 3 in the chest, 2 in the stomach, one in the arm. Everyone saw Betsy, nancy, the vacationer, the manager, and i'm sure the vacationer did. But i don;t think the chef did, he was in the kitchen the whole time.

vacationer: did you see Betsy here at the restaurant today? did you speak with her?

Vacationer: *Groan* Yes i saw betsy, she saw me too. I said "Hi Betsy" In a kinda irritated tone. But even though i hated her, now i feel kind of bad for her.
