each letter above the line represents a digit that has a difference of one from the digit represented by the same letter below the line.

Those are only 7 letters, yet you have 8 numbers.

I suck at these. Worked on it for a while, came up with what I thought was the answer, subtracted properly, and was way off. :(

But, but, A = 0, and G + 1 = F.

Yes but letters on top and bottom are diff. All 8 digits are used.

Didn't u read the first line?

Honestly?

Wait, wait, wait. If I read it correctly, (this tiime), then the numbers in the second row are just one less than the ones in the first? As in F - 1 = G, F - 1 = C, B - 1 = G, E - 1 = F, and so forth? Yes? No? ..I should go to bed..

Not sure about this last one because the value for D seems weird, but it still works.

This works, but the D on top is zero, making the second number start with zero. Not sure if that's allowed.
