Turn one on leave a while the bulb heats up, then turn off, turn another on and enter the room. you will then have one hot bulb that is not on, one that is and another off and cold

You people are ridiculous.

Turn on two switches - leave them on for 5 minutes

turn one off

One bulb will be on (the switch you left on)

One bulb will be hot (the switch you turned off)

One bulb will be off (the one you never touched)

You could change the fuse so that there is too much current and then switch on one of the lights. You could then put the correct fuse back in and switch on another of the lights. When you go into the room you would see the black bulb , the lit bulb and the last bulb. :rolleyes:

LOL...you people and your technicalities. It makes me laugh very much.

Here...I'll try to reword the puzzle:

There are two rooms connected by a door. This door is closed and sealed of all light passing through it. There are no other ways into either of these rooms besides one door in the room with the light switches that is hermetically sealed, boarded, welded, and sealed by 87 billion billion quantum robots upon you entering the room to start the puzzle. You can not see outside of any room once it's door(s) are closed and sealed.

You are in one room that has three handicap and child accessible, two position (on or off), switches who's on/off positions are clearly labeled in contracting writing, raised lettering, and braille.

In the other room there are three light fixtures that each have a UL/ETL certified to be in proper operating condition incandescent light bulb installed in them.

These fixtures, and their bulbs, are placed in such a manner as to be reachable by every living thing on this earth.

The light fixtures are operated by the three light switches in the room you are currently in. Each light switch turns on only one of the light fixtures.

The light fixtures are situated such that the heat generated from one turned on incandescent light fixture's bulb will immeasurably effect any other fixture or bulb.

You are in the light switch room by yourself, and shall remain alone throughout the duration of this puzzle. No other person or thing, besides what has been provided said forth in this writing, shall assist you in this puzzle. Nothing can be moved in any way, shape, or form, EXCEPT the light switches (on or off), you (of course), and the door (open or closed).

The door can only be opened one time. When this door is opened you may enter the other room. Upon entering the other room you may NOT reenter the previous room for any reason. You must solve the puzzle upon entering the light fixture room. You have no time limit, and may remain there until any/all bulbs burn out if you so desire (good luck with that).

The puzzle begins upon you entering the room with the light switches in it, and the connecting door, to the room with the light fixtures in it, has been properly closed/sealed.

You may not use the restroom at any time during this puzzle.

You are naked and have nothing with you. You are not allowed to bring anything concealed in any orifice, or otherwise, with you..

There are 25 million instantaneous backup generators that each have 25 million instantaneous backup generators in case of power outage.

In case of any other emergency the puzzle is over and you should seek safety immediately.

No food or drinks allowed.

Lets say the three bulbs are B1, B2 & B3 and the switches are s1, s2 & s3. switch on any one switch - say s1. walk into the room and check the light which is on - say B3. Now remove one of the bulbs which is not on - say B2. Come back leaving the door open and switch of s1. Since you are in the next room, tough you might not see which bulb is on, you can see that there is some light which is on. Now switch on s2 you will either see some light or not. If there is light then the switch corresponds to b1. since b3 corresponds to s1 and b2 is removed. if there is no light then it means that s3 corresponds to b2.

Bulbs - Back to the Logic Puzzles

This is one of my favorite logic puzzles (Edit: it is more a practical than a logic puzzle).

Imagine you are in a room with 3 switches. In an adjacent room there are 3 bulbs (Edit: let's say in lamps which are on a regular table) - all are off at the moment, each switch belongs to one bulb. It is impossible to see from one room to another. How can you find out which switch belongs to which bulb, if you may enter the room with the bulbs only once?

Edit: No help from anybody else is allowed.

Edit: Find out which switch belongs to which bulb - identify all 3 switches (so find out what bulbs are switches 1, 2 and 3 connected to)

Bulbs - solution

Keep the first bulb switched on for a few minutes. It gets warm, right? So all you have to do then is ... switch it off, switch another one on, walk into the room with bulbs, touch them and tell which one was switched on as the first one (the warm one) and the others can be easily identified ...

This is quite simple

Switch on a bulb for a min. then switch off.

Now switch on another and enter the room.

you can see the bulb which is switched on and by touching the other two bulbs u can derive which bulb belongs to which switch.( the bulb switched on must be hot)
