45, because with one kid missing by 6 and one hitting it right on only the one who gessed 39 could have missed by 6 and still land on another guess.

One is correct, one is 2 away. The only numbers that are 2 apart are 45, 47 and 49. Because only one was off by 2, it can't be 47. Because nobody was off by 1, and someone guessed 50, it can't be 49. Therefore the answer is 45.

well, like everyone else, I think it's 45. Because you said "one was right" it was simple to do a brute force attack on this, and I happened to start on the first number mentioned.
