To be honest with you, no IQ test accurately measures how smart you are. Some janitor can have an IQ of 180, while the teacher has one of 145. So is the janitor smarter.....not neccesarily. An IQ test simply measures how fast and accurate you can calculate something in your brain, it doesnt have much to do with logic or knowledge over a certain area.

As for you gaining logic, get on this website for a while and try some of the riddles, they are fun, and they make you smarter.

i have cool app in my iPhone, it's called Brain Tuner...

what it does is, it sets a timer and gives you 20 basic math equations...

like 3-5 or 9x9 or 20+39, than it has answer on the right side, you have to push wright on wrong..

my current record for 20 problem is 14 seconds :P i'm not saying that i am stupid or smth, just looking at these puzzles realy make me think and i struggle with most of them, that's why i want to get better.

on top of that, i solve chess quizes, like "check & mate in 5 moves" i actually try to plan all my 5 moves in my head, before moving a piece..

and your quote, is i think proper this way "smart man solves a problem, but a wiseman avoids it"

In the long term,

BE A SPONGE.

ie paying attention helps and absorbing everything you read, hear or see on tv or in the news. i'm always remembering really random things that people tell me and six months later they can't even remember what they said and yet i have it all stored in my noggin.... (cue evil laugh hehehe). it seems to work. personally, i would describe my general knowledge as "not bad but could be better".

But alas, i have no methods for overnight success lol.
