The nursery rhyme is "This Old Man". The letters refer to the first letter of words. Thus TOM is "This Old Man". Substitutions of x,y are made for each verse HP(O), HPK(OMT) translates to "He Played One, He Played Knick-Knack On my Thumb", and so on. The second one refers to another nursery rhyme about washing clothes and cycles (no pun intended) through the days of the week. Well done. Mesmer Can you figure out what they mean?
