0 Guest
A countdown? You start it at 10 or 5, sometimes you don't hear it until you're half way through (i.e you only start to chant at 5,4,3 etc). A quarter fist could refer to fingers on a hand in a countdown? Don't know anything about chess but maybe when a figure is broken, the count is down! Actually, ignore me, I think I'm talking rubbish... 0 andromeda
Hm... it's a word, a ten letter word. When you pronounce it you can only hear five letters. You probably have to splice the words used in the riddle, but I don't know how. I know it's not really an answer...

He almost has the methodology.

0 grey cells
OK! This is a really silly long shot, but F.C. Manchester United?! Sorry Andromeda. Good try, but 'tis not the answer. This definitely calls for hints. All the lines are not connected to each other, but some lines are connected with each and some letters. 0 grey cells
Yeah! It's a bit difficult, I too didn't get it. But give it a try atleast. No problems if the answer is wrong. 0 andromeda
I don't know "When I'm heard I'm half the size-something like PH or SH or something like that when you pronounce it you only hear one voice for those two letters I am ten, and also five.-well X is ten, V is five (Roman numerals) other than that, I don't know Ten to start, and a wee-same as the previous one (XV) Another rhymes - 4th of key-no idea about this line Chessman broken not a daughter-chessman broken on 'ch' and 'essman' but I don't know what might come in between; not a daughter-is it a son? 1/4 first and last 3/4-see the previous line U R solving it really fast-no I'm definitely not solving it fast Colored bodies will come last"-no idea about this You see, I can't assemble anything from this. I'm stuck!

I'm stuck! well that helped me kinda... lets see... "When I'm heard I'm half the size - i think this means the overall riddle. I am ten, and also five.- also overall riddle (10 letters, 5 sounds or maybe syllables) Ten to start, and a wee- X might be right but wee could be "WE" or "U" Another rhymes - 4th of key - something that rhymes with the previous letters, and since keys usually start in middle C i would say F is the right letter there. Chessman broken not a daughter- Ch es sm an, son 1/4 first and last 3/4- chson? U R solving it really fast - U and R Colored bodies will come last" - ?????????? XUFCHSONUR those are the letters i came up with though could be wrong...maybe i have to descramble them now... on second thought, that didnt help much at all... 0 grey cells
Great tries, andro and raven. Every line does not give a letter. That's why this is so difficult. And one line gives 2 letters. That's an anomaly you have to cope with. And there are totally 5 letters to be found. They are in order, so when you spell out the letters you will immediately see the word. And you need outside information for the Chessman one. These are not hints. I am just clearing things up and I didn't mention them at the start, as it would have defeated the purpose of the riddle.

0 andromeda
I managed to find http://www.solarpons.com/Case_Broken.htm broken chessman is some Pons guy, so pons broken on 'p' and 'ons' but it's not a daughter so instead of 'ons' it's a 'son'. The rest I just don't know how to fill in. But I'm sure I got the 'p' and 'son' right! And just can't get the rest of it, but I hope it helps to someone else!
