Question

This is about finding the words you can make with letters from the root word. In this case, automobile:

Automobile

=======

automobile

auto

mobile

tom

mob

bile

a

i

now what if you can use the letters in any order (but if there are, say, 2 o's, you can only use up to 2 words)...

Automobile

=======

automobile

auto

mobile

tom

mob

bile

a

i

boot

moot

loot

bit

moat

boat

limb

(etc) Let's make the list as big as possible. I could probably get a lot of words right now, but I'm kind of in a hurry and this is a group effort anyway ;D Please repost the current list when you add new words. Thanks, and have fun! :D

My apologies on the re-usage...I copied what I thought was a complete list into Excel and alphabetized, then filled in where I could....did I have any more repeats other than 'bail'?

also, people thinking up words could copy list into Word and use "Find" to check if their word is already there

i use Firefox so ctrl+F brings up a search within the pane :D

could always use that too...

are 'lite' and 'obit' actual words, or are they just shortened/commercialized versions of 'light' and 'obituary'?

actually i checked "lite" when i was thinking up words and it isn't a real word in its own right.

Wow considering the crazy words I've never heard of the onetruth put down, I'm not even gonna try to answer that =D

But I did write down the word 'Antidisestablishmentarianism' once and my step-sister and I figured out over 400 words that can be taken out of there, and we didn't even use crazy words like obit or albeit =)

i checked on MS word: 'obit' doesn't come up as a spelling error but 'lite' does

Do not rely on MS Word . Lite is the word for a single pane of glass in a window.

that spelling's american but i did find something else with lite related to doors (lite French doors) but that spelling on wikipedia was followed by [sic] and it was used to describe the window panes so it was probably the same usage of the word.
