First assign each letter a number value (X=1, J=2, H=3...). Then find the numerical value of the numbers position in the alphabet (a=1, b=2, c=3 ...)

1)X=24

2)J=10

3)H=8

4)R=18

5)D=4

6)U=21

7)B=2

.

.

.

Then subtract its assigned number from its position in the alphabet (for X it is 24-1=23, the is number 23, which corresponds to W).

If the number is negative then count backwards in the alphabet (for D it is 4-5=-1, so the number is 25, which corresponds to Y)
