this is a test that they have given to serial killers in jail and about 99 percent of them have gotten it correct immediately. The "normal" people who get it correct have psychotic tendencies and you should probably stay away from them, or be really really nice to them. When i first heard this one, I had to search for the answer. I had no idea. After I knew, I asked a bunch of my friends. One chick got it right. She spewed the answer out within seconds. Needless to say, I was her best friend, and always did whatever she wanted to, until she moved out of state.

The fact that this is now a well known riddle renders it useless as a test for psychopathy if it was ever used as such. But I think that this is not really the case. What I saw about it is that though normal human beings have trouble finding the answer, diagnosed psychopaths find the answer quite easily, but this is not the same as saying the test reveals psychopathy at all.

That's pretty interesting. I've never heard this before. I was searching for a rational motive, like the co-worker having something to do with the death of the mother. If I had spent hours thinking about this, I never would have gotten the answer.

Now to test it on my wife!
