bonanova
A number of you said you like the first one. Here's another. I read somewhere that the word "set" has the greatest number of distinct meanings. So, let's see. Again, the number of dashes indicates the number of letters in the connecting words. 0 bonanova
All good guesses. I'm open to hints, but the consensus is not to have them. All I can say is they're not obscure at all, maybe just coming back with a fresh mind is best. Try [1] without thinking of the third word. Hmm I guess that's a hint of sorts. 0 Nikyma
I know, I want a hint so bad. But then after I get it, I know I'll be mad at myself. Especially since one of the previous posts said that #1 is easy.
0 bonanova
I think they'll both be had in a day or so. Yours have been the most imaginative guesses, I think. I'm working on a third set of words, if people like this and want one more dose. Or maybe someone else would like to give it a try.

0 bonanova
Updating the previous tried words: [1] set _ _ _ romance - previous tries: see luv duo lay bed woo wed sit too hug free two fox [3] set _ _ _ _ heal - previous tries: mend clot right cast cure ease free well hint: use set as a verb. I think it's fair to say something about the solution process. Reading the spoiler will not disclose anything about either solution word. The rules say that word1 <-> word2. In all cases this is true. The rules also say that word2 <-> word3. Like set <-> concrete <-> hard. Concrete sets, and concrete is hard. In one of the word groups, word2 <-> word3 only in the sense of word1. That is, if you looked at word2 and word3 without thinking of word1 you would not see a connection. Kind of like, if concrete hasn't set, it's not hard. There. No hint about the words.
