Question

Here's another puzzle that I haven't solved yet. Instructions are the same as with the previous puzzles I posted, read them here: Again, the answer we are looking for should be in the form of one letter, either upper case or lower case.

I don't know exactly what type of puzzle this is, so if you have an opinion about what type it is likely to be, do share. Any suggestions, ideas, thoughts, narrowing of possible answers would be very welcome!

By changing the cards to letters we will get:

f E N J x......with 3 upper case letters
H U p t i.......with 2 upper case letters
G y A W m.....with 3 upper case letters
R p d s G.....with 2 upper case letters
S F f a ( ? )with only 2 upper case letters,
which means the missing letter should be an upper case letter, which is either hearts or diamonds.
If we look at the cards again, we will notice that:-
in 1st row we find 2 diamonds and 1hearts.
2nd row, 1 diamonds and 1 hearts.
3rd row 2 diamonds and 1 hearts.
4th row 1 diamonds and 1 hearts.
so the 5th row should have 2 diamonds...which means the missing card is diamonds.
And because it is un upper case so it is 3 of diamonds( I choose 3 because it is the only missing number among the cards)
and the missing letter is B

And because it is un upper case so it is 3 of diamonds( I choose 3 because it is the only missing number among the cards)

and the missing letter is B

At least when it comes to suits, I can see a stronger pattern. On each of the first 4 rows there is at least one card of each suit. On the last row there are three suits represented, so we can add a fifth card of the missing suit - spades.

However, I'm not sure whether we should be looking to fill the last row at all.
