I'll get to the point

Question

Posted · Report post

And because I'm on a roll writing them:

I’ll get to the point,

I’m not the wee one.

I’m no dead ringer,

Nor the tall, rude gentleman.

I don’t stand in opposition,

What’s my name and my position?

MissKitten

Super close, take a second look at the first and fifth lines!

(Although, re-reading the fifth line I can think of an alternate interpretation that makes you right. So, points but not what I was thinking!)

Until she said thumb, it hadn't occurred to me that "stand in opposition" could mean a wagging index finger. I can't swear that's what she intended, but it's valid.

Clearly I need to work on making slightly harder riddles!
