There are 9 Flasks infront of me(no one is empty),each Flask contains a different number of beads either red or blue(but not a mixture and No flask has more than 9 beads in it).

The flasks are given numbers 1 to 9.

Number of beads in flasks:-

1+2=9 mixed beads

2+3=10 blue beads

3+4=13 blue beads

4+5=11 mixed beads

5+6=7 red beads

6+7=4 red beads

7+8=12 mixed beads

8+9=? mixed beads

Arrenge the Flasks from higher to lower,which beads are more..red or blue?

really enjoyed this one

using 2nd and 3rd we know, 2nd has blue and 1st funnel has red beads. by taking 1 of them x, and using max. beads=9, min= 1,

we get 8th has 9blue and 9th will hence have remaining no. = 4 (red becoz we need mixed beads).

1.hence we HAVE 13 MIXED BEADS

2. we have 24 blue, 21 red beads

descending order is :-

8th funnel - 9 beads

3rd

1st

5th

9th

7th

2nd

6th

Flask 6 & 7 must have 3 and 1 as they can't have 2+2 or 4+0.

Flask 7 & 8 have 12 so since one flask can't have more than 9, flask 7 must have 3 and flask 8 has 9.

Since flask 7 has 3, flask 6 has 1.

And you can work out the rest from there...

Flask 1: 7 red beads

Flask 5: 6 red beads

Flask 4: 5 blue beads

Flask 9: 4 red beads

Flask 7: 3 red beads

Total red beads: 21

Total blue beads: 24
