Aaryan
A busy city added bus lanes to their streets. This immediately lowered the death rate of the city. It was not a direct effect. The bus lanes did not ACTUALLY lower the death rate themselves. Why?

0 Guest
Perhaps it's because they took away some of the traffic lanes to make the bus lanes which would mean more congestion in the normal traffic lanes which would lead to lower speeds which would lead to a lower death rate?!? Whew - that was a mouth full...
0 Guest
The bus lanes allow ambulances to reach accidents and then return to hospital faster increasing the chance of survival for accident victims.

0 Guest
If the city is busy and adds new bus lanes, it has to decrease traffic lanes thus lowering the chances of traffic accidents and death.
