We have two exacly same baskets.Every 3 seconds , we throw the baskets twice as much balls there are already in.(For instance if there were 3 balls, he put another 3 .Now that the balls are 6 we put another 6 and so on)

The first basket has one ball and it takes 5 minutites to fill.The second Basket has 2 balls.How much time is it needed for the 2nd basket to fill?

No...this is the common answer...think of it a little more,it is easier than you possibly think

5 min = 5 * 20 = 100 doublings

after 1 doubling 1-> 2, so only 1 double is cut

therefore 4:57

5*60 = 300 seconds

300/3 = 100 <--There will be 100 multiplications by 2 which means we will have 2^100 right? Witch is 12,676,506 × 10³⁰ or and if we suppose

To make things easy lets get balls of 4 cm in diameter.

R = 2 cm so Volume = [(2³)*4]/3 * π = 33.51 cm^3.Lets make them 33 !

33 * 12676506 * 10³⁰ = 418324698 *10³⁰ cm³ . = 418324698 * 10³⁰ *10^-2 m³ = 418324698 * 10²⁸ m³
