I have written a few riddles

here is another for your mind

though you must know history

for the answer you will find

It was a famous statement

a speech that was declared

put the clues together

so the answer can be shared

1. Once called an old yankee

famous for a ring.

2. This it will pertain

to every living thing.

3. Associated once by blue

now green it will bring.

4. Tossed out on the field

for a Rodriguez home run swing.

These four clues are all you need

to bring the answer into light

What the answer brought about

was a call for them to fight.

Thanks Hambone, I thought of it after seeing Shakee's answer for #1 was correct, and thank you random Wiking (if that is even a real word) for the St. Patrick's reference.
