0 Shakeepuddn
Scrooge experiences several visual warnings of Marley’s impending visitation after work around dusk. The first is when he sees Marley’s face in place of the door knocker on the entrance to the building where his apartment is located. Another is when he imagines a “locomotive hearse” ascending the flight of stairs in front of him, and the third is when Marley’s entire countenance can be seen engulfing his tiled fireplace. When Marley appears as an ambassador to warn of the three visitations to come, he is seen by his “sole confederate” in business and relations as wrapped in chains trailing cash boxes behind him like a steel tail. He relates to Scrooge his sad plight after seven years since his death of wandering the Earth as a spirit swept on the wind to atone for his sins. Outstanding John. That makes two.
