Master Mind - Back to the Number Puzzles

Find the four-digit number designated by asterisks, given the following:

* All four digits of the unknown number are different.

* None of the digits is zero.

* Each “0” on the right of each four-digit number below indicates that the number has a matching digit in a non-matching position with the unknown number.

* Each “+” on the right of each four-digit number below indicates that the number has a matching digit in a matching position with the unknown number.

What is the number replaced by asterisks, if:

* symbol 0 represents a guessed number in the line,

* symbol + represents a guessed number in the line, that is on its right place,

* the result has no number 0,

* no numeral is more than once in the result.

line1: 6152 +0

line2: 4182 00

line3: 5314 00

line4: 5789 +

based on line 4 and line 3, we know 5 cannot be in the answer.

based on line 4 and line 2, we know 8 cannot be in the answer.

based on line 1 and line 2, we know 1 nor 2 is in the correct spot in line 1.

therefore 6 must be the first number.

based on line 2, either 1 or 2 but not both are in the answer, therefore 4 must be in the answer.

based on line 3, 1 must be in the answer.

therefore the only solution is 6741.
