Guest Posted October 18, 2009 Report Share Posted October 18, 2009 (edited) line1: 6152 +0 line2: 4182 00 line3: 5314 00 line4: 5789 + based on line 4 and line 3, we know 5 cannot be in the answer. based on line 4 and line 2, we know 8 cannot be in the answer. based on line 1 and line 2, we know 1 nor 2 is in the correct spot in line 1. therefore 6 must be the first number. based on line 2, either 1 or 2 but not both are in the answer, therefore 4 must be in the answer. based on line 3, 1 must be in the answer. therefore the only solution is 6741.
