Question

HI!

I teach science to elementary school boys at a private school. Part of my 'fun' time is spent giving the boys brain teasers (how'd he die), puzzles (connect 3 houses to 3 utilities) and matchstick puzzles (...name it, there's tons).

I was wondering if anyone had any good teasers, tricks or puzzles that get the boys thinking, but are appropriate for elementary school kids.

I know you all are a tad more advanced so please, dumb it down for me >:)

thanks!

Kids are more advanced these days, with computers and such. Depending on their ages, you may

try these: Matchstick Puzzles.

I always liked science and some of my favorite tricks were buoyancy tests. I made a pin float on the water.

Try the one where you can hold a 1/2 glass of water upside down, with a piece of paper over the rim. Then ask them to explain how it's possible. They also have many sites for kids, and science experiments, etc. Just ask google for what you want.wink.gif

I also suggest some easy sudoku or easy crossword puzzles.
