Guest Posted November 17, 2007 Report Share Posted November 17, 2007 Hi all, I thought of a unique solution... By inverting 2 of the 4 - 7's 1 L7 L7 Ha Ha ! ! Very clever... Mind if I copy it? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted December 1, 2007 Report Share Posted December 1, 2007 not for nothin...if u turn two sevens upside down next to two sevens downside up it forms two slanted zeros...with a one in front of it = 1 L7 L7]...what do ya think? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted January 2, 2008 Report Share Posted January 2, 2008 not to over simplify but woudn't 177-77 do it? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Posted February 3, 2008 Report Share Posted February 3, 2008 That's two 7's, two 2's, and two 1's...not four 7's and one 1. since the puzzle says 1 twice, u r allowed to use 2 ones Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted February 3, 2008 Report Share Posted February 3, 2008 (7*7)+7+7+1 = 100 BTW, it's octal <!-- s:) --><!-- s:) --> Yeah, I thought of 77/7/7 +1 base 8 = 100 and 77/1 + 7/7 = 100... which is the same thing in octal. Curse you computer science! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted February 5, 2008 Report Share Posted February 5, 2008 Hi all, I thought of a unique solution... By inverting 2 of the 4 - 7's 1 L7 L7 Ha Ha ! ! This was the first solution I thought of. The second was the 177-77=100 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted February 17, 2008 Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 this would work if you can have indicies (which is a mathmatical symbol) 7^2+7^2+(7/7)+1 works for me (the ^2 is squared btw) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted February 17, 2008 Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 might have another here 7^3= 343 343/(1+7/7)^2=343/4=85.75 85.75+7+7= 100 to 1 d.p. so... (7^3)/(1+7/7)^2+7+7 =100 to 1 d.p. but thats 7 sevens Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted April 15, 2008 Report Share Posted April 15, 2008 Yes, real simple......... ( (7x7) + (7x7) ) + 1 = 100 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Posted April 29, 2008 Report Share Posted April 29, 2008 100 - Back to the Number Puzzles Using four sevens (7) and a one (1) create the number 100. Except (Edit: In addition to) the five numerals you can use the usual mathematical operations +, -, x, :, root and brackets (). 100 - solution 100 = 177-77 = (7+7)x(7+(1:7)) I do not know other solutions. The number 100 already exists. I can't create it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rookie1ja Posted April 30, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 30, 2008 The number 100 already exists. I can't create it. thanks for your "valuable" input ... based on previous warnings (you obviously ignored them) and the basic rules (especially on nit-picking) - your account has been suspended Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted May 21, 2008 Report Share Posted May 21, 2008 7 x (7+7) + cubed root of (7+1) = 100 7 X 14 + cubed root of 8 98 + 2 = 100 wonderful!! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted July 1, 2008 Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 (7*(7+7)) = 98 + root7 = 100.64... - 1 = 99.64... = 100(3sf) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted July 1, 2008 Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 (7*(7+7)) = 98 + root7 = 100.64... - 1 = 99.64... = 100(3sf) That doesn't work because you need exactly 100, not approximations. Good try though, I can't get one yet. lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Posted September 6, 2008 Report Share Posted September 6, 2008 Hi all, I thought of a unique solution... By inverting 2 of the 4 - 7's 1 L7 L7 Ha Ha ! ! that is very funny... and the answer: 1 divided by 7 plus 7 times 14 ((1/7)+7)x(7+7) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Posted October 23, 2008 Report Share Posted October 23, 2008 My answer is: (7²+1)((7+7)/7) = 100 (49+1)(14/2) = 100 50x2 = 100 I thought inverting the 7's was sheer genius Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
