Making something clear dirty makes it easy to see, Wind, you cannot see it, but if you add dirt, you can see it. Covering it in dirt makes it disappear, add dirt to a hole, it disappears. It can give life to plants, Plants grow in dirt. Mudslides and such can kill, Avalanches, are what I was thinking, but OK. We live on top of it, We're buried under it.
