The 26 letters of the alphabet are

written in scrambled order in a

circle. A message is then enciphered

using the following scheme. Each

letter of the message is represented

by two letters whose (clockwise)

distance apart in the circle is the

position of the letter in the

alphabet. Any two consecutive

letters, say PJ, could represent

A, JP representing Y; any doubled

letter could represent Z, et cetera.
