I didn't say it was assisted suicide. He intended to die, although I don't know whether he swallowed that bomb intentionally or not...from what I hear, he didn't die from the bomb, and he sure didn't explode up on stage. When I went to Israel, absolutely no Jewish stores/restaurants sold Pepsi products. All of the Arabic places did. I went to a lot of Arabic restaurants. I especially hate Coke out of a can/bottle, but I'll drink it. I am a Pepsi snob.

Cabuul came to me before he died an' offered me some money if I'd make a real martyr outta him. I took the money, but I didn't touch the man. I already been locked up cuz that narc that poses as a hippie (and I say poses cuz a real hippie aint gonna go 'round narcin like that), well he dun had me locked up under a citizen's arrest. But since I didn't do nothin but buy me some booze, I got released right away.

Now, them enforcers are threatenin to lock me up again for intent...but the only intent they can ever prove is that I was offered money and I took it to get some booze. Booze is not a crime or all them bars and liquor stores would be shut down! So if them enforcers keep on chasin me, you better start lookin at them real carefully.

So, we have a couple Chinese exchange students staying with us. They were playing Monopoloy, and one of the Chinese students stole money from my niece. I called him a thief. *cue Lee Greenwood* I'm proud to be an American. Doesn't mean I'm always proud of America. I'm Hawaiian/Chinese/Filipino/English/German/Welsh/etc...My kids are all that and half Russian. I grew up in Los Angeles, where diversity (and segregation - although usually at the minority's choice) is the norm. Anyway, I haven't experienced life in every other country, so I don't know if there is somewhere better. I'd never joyfully choose to live in a Middle Eastern country (except for Israel)...I didn't fully enjoy visiting Egypt because it's so oppressive. I am glad I didn't move to Russia when I was given the opportunity. I wouldn't move to Enlgand because they have bad teeth. There are several places I wouldn't mind moving to, but it's in spite of their politics. I'm very much a fan of the US as it was intended to be, and apparently so were my grandparents and great-grandparents, since they chose to leave their homes and come here. None of the immigrants I know are trying to go back to Mexico or South America or Africa or China or Korea or Cuba, etc. The ones from South Africa (but SA is just awesome), Israel and the UK don't seem to hold any resentments against their home countries. What's the difference?

That's what I mean. I haven't read through this thread, and I wouldn't get involved even if I did. But I am an evangelical who fully believes the Bible...I majored in apologetics and a Christian college. I sing on my church's praise team.

I used to have a board that I debated on, just as much as people do on here, when I was in high school and college. But I've decided that it's too time-consuming for me to participate. But if anyone were to ask me...There is only onetruth, one God, and that is what is written in the Bible.

To be a little more on topic...One of my kids' favorite places to go is the Kennedy Space Center. They have a new 3D movie about the Hubble Telescope, narrated by Leonardo Dicaprio. I had goosebumps by the end. It shows stars and galaxies, and new galaxies that are forming around stars. Billions. And yet in all of those galaxies, none exist that could sustain human life the way earth does. In fact, none of them contain life. It isn't an accident that we are here. We were created by a creative God who created an amazing universe for his pleasure. And for our pleasure. It is amazing! And it isn't an accident.
