BEATS if 2 then E is second as S is proven & other not B from BEETS=MEETS=2 or AT from chATs=1

BAKED if 1 then B is 1st as not nAKED=0

Well the acceleration I'm talking about is perpendicular to the motion of the satellite, so it doesn't affect its speed.

Aw man, I could have done the same thing for mine. I realized that, but I just didn't think as far as to prove the other letter. Edit: But I still get the P/H right?

Actually, orbit speed is independent of the mass of the satellite, as the increase in gravity is balanced by the decrease in acceleration due to greater inertia. I figured that out doing a lab in astronomy. It's pretty cool, though.

PRONE If 3 then P is first as tRacE = 0, and O & N are proven. If 2 then H is second as R is the only change from PHONE = 3
  13. I can only claim some of the credit for this if it's right, as dyalDragon got the first part, but

Are you meaning size by volume or diameter?

    TRACE If 1 then E is 5th as TRump = 0 and 3rd and 4th already proven to be O and N.

Hey guys. I just looked at this for the first time, and it looks like it'll be fun, so I think I'll give it a try. How about GRAIN?

Wouldn't using a magnet cause it to spill as well, as the key plops out? Even if you do it as slowly as possible, any slight pressure disturbance would cause the jar to overflow if it is that full.

Nice, Plainglazed. I thought of that when it was too late. Though I also looked in the dictionary, and it didn't have that. But still, good puzzle.

I think the part about it being consumed can be justified, or at least blamed on carelessness rather than poor planning, by the fact that the cocaine is being smuggled out of the country, while you were taking the train into it. The smuggler most likely forgot one of his packages or mistook another package as his when he got off in England.

The problem with sphynx and rhythm is that they use "y" as a vowel. One that would work with the original riddle, but doesn't seem to be what WB is looking for, is
