Question

You are a detective on a case.

You walk into a room.. there are 5 chairs around a table and 4 dead men with bullet holes in their foreheads.

There are 53 Bicycles scattered around the room.

Why did the men die?

53 bicycles- cards! They were playing poker. There are only 52 in a deck.. someone was cheating. They got in a fight, the cheater killed the others and took the money

This one's supposed to be in logic section.....but it's a great one anyway.....:D

While it may be a logic problem, I think it fits under word riddles, as well. You should have to use logic to solve any good riddle, so I don't know that logic is the only prerequisite for the logic forum...

Here's an alternate answer, though:

Four guys were running a bicycle theft operation. One guy had his bike stolen and followed the thief back to their hideout. Then he killed them and took his bike back, leaving 53 others there.

While this answer isn't as eloquent as the card story, it appeals to my bloodthirsty nature.
