Here comes the pendulum ever nearer,
My death, it seems, has become clearer.
The raven comes and sends me a scene,
Of Helen, Lenore, and a dream within a dream.
Ever pounding in my chest,
My tell-tale heart seeks to rest.
Annabelle Lee, a mighty queen
She floats through my dreams.
I see the oval portrait up on the wall,
And think to myself "how the Ushers did fall"
A black cat walks by, followed by a gold bug,
And I think I will die on this rug.
Goodbye, cruel world, my heart shall rend,
For I cannot see the lighthouse at it's end.
