I don't know if this is already on (I have looked).

There are 4 people wearing mexican hats with a wall seperating one of them from the rest. There are 2 black hats and 2 white hats, the people cannot move or communicate in any way. Which one will be the first to shout out the coulor of their hat. They are aranged as shown bellow.

If you mean to say they cannot communicate with each other in any way, then do you mean it's set up like this:

( = wall

< or > = direction facing

B > ( <W <B <W

So B1 cannot see anyone, W1 can see a wall, B2 can see W1 and W2 can see B2 and W1?

If that's the case, I say

B2 yells black first. W1 can't know what color his is. B2 can't either, but when W2 doesn't answer that his is white, then B2 knows that W2 sees a black and a white, instead of 2 whites. Then he knows that either B1 or W2 must be wearing the other white and that he is wearing the Black.

Do they all know there are 2 hats of each color?

The black hat [the red one] knows if his hat were white the guy behind him would know his was black.

After waiting for him to call out Black - but it doesn't happen - he knows his hat is black.

I might be mistaken, but this is a lot like the Hats puzzles and intelligent test already posted on this forum...
