Ok, I've been answering for a while, so I had to try the other side. This is the first riddle I've ever written, and I think its a bit too easy... but then again, I wrote it, so I already know the answer.
Here goes:
Here’s a new twist
On a riddle once dead
I promise it’s new;
Don’t turn off this thread!
The first thing I am thinking of
Isn't easy to define
If you plan on guessing correctly
You’ll have to enlighten your mind.
The second item of this What Are We
Should lead you to the other
Cause if you’ve ever forgotten me
You've been reminded by your mother.
The First is to be kept tidy,
The Second, not to waste
I'm rarely without the other,
So answer not in haste
I’ll tell you we’re tangible objects
So this’ll go on without a hitch,
(And after you see the answer
It’ll hit you like a switch.)
If you think you know the answer,
Screw your thinking cap on tighter…
What is it I am thinking of?
And what put in me makes me lighter?
Some stanzas have one or more word clues to a portion of the answer.
